I used these to replace the dome lights in an F250. They snapped in without issue or modification. The lights are now so much brighter than the halogen stock bulbs that had been in the cab! The fact that they are LED is a plus.

The dome light and both map lights for 1999 Ford F150 use Festoon 578 bulbs. I swapped out two of the three bulbs with these LED lamps. They are very bright and put out a white daylight colored light. The contacts on both ends have two different diameters on both ends. When I first installed the lamp, the thicker portion dropped into the receptacle just fine, but it was too short for both thick portions to clamp in and make good contact. It was loose on one end. I took a pair of needle nose pliers and squeezed the clip on one end of the dome light socket down so that it would make good contact on the narrow end of the lamp (see pic). Once it was firmly in place, the LED lamps performed fantastic and it’s a whole new world now when I open the door at night.
