Strong electromagnetic interference should be avoided. When measuring wires, it is best to use shielded wires or twisted pairs to avoid strong current wires or power wires running in the same pipe or twisted wires, in order to prevent unnecessary interference.
Magnets cannot be installed on metal iron materials, which will interfere with the detection of the meter.

Worked perfect. Needed a counter for a push button system on a dice game and this came in handy.Read instructions carefully, if you follow it works as described. I was able to use this unit with a membrane push button with reset and it wired up easy and worked without issue.Great value, decent construction feels like abs .

This unit is of poor design and quality, NO WIRING INFORMATION EITHER.(Thanks to Ryan Mast's review to get it going !!)The better product is the BARENX Counter (on Amazon) !!!The BARENX unit is an extremely good product and I have used it previously.....only drawback is the 2-week lead time directly from China.Gene RandallElectrical Engineer

Edit: Don't waste your time, the counter will sometimes increment by 2-3 for some pulses when you use a button, this is likely because of a lack of debouncing filtering.When I got this counter my first instinct was to turn it on and try to get it to increment, I powered the module with my bench supply and connected the blue wire to 12v to get it to increment and immediately fried it :(The correct way to send signals is to connect the signal wires (4, blue and black) to the signal ground (3). The signal ground pulls the signal wires low making the module count. I may be dumb or just overlooked that detail but I wish this was explained clearer a part of the product description or with the packaging. Woulda saved me $15.

Came with a set of wires for the counter activator, but no directions on what other connections go to which pins. Absolutely no information, directions, diagrams, nothing.

Non-functional right out of the box. One of the digits comes on initially, and slowly dims out completly. Other digits never come on at all. It does not count or respond to any inputs.

I bought the red led unit and like others have said, the digit was very dim.No instructions so you have to go to the listing on Amazon to get the diagram.Would not count up or down.I used a lab variable supply and ta around eight volts the display came on.At 11 volts the display was at it's brightest. (No way you would be able to see it outside).After about 11.5 volts the display began to get dimmer and at 31.1 it went out.Tried it several times with the same results.After about a minute and a half it began to smell hot then quit.Ordered a replacement, because I already had the hole cut in the panel, and will let all know how it goes.

Counter works well all be it a little dim , but my main criticism is the lack of real instructions or even a simple data sheet on what pin does what. These days I dont expect a printed manual or whatever, but an online link is almost mandatory. Worked it out with time and intelligent guess work, but should not have to. Lost a star due to that.
