Nice product. Daystar makes good stuff. Some of the reviews say hard to install. DO NOT SHAVE DOWN TO FIT!!! Just use a mini pry bar to pop the old one out and gently pry the new one in. 10 min job. See photo.

I’ve had a 2” lift on my 2004 LJ for a year without extended bump stop. My OEM never touched the bottom pad and I would bottom out the shocks if not careful on trails or railroad tracks. These made my jeep safer and more comfortable.

Had a lot of difficulty getting them in. Tried a mallet and freezing it, but boiling the bump stop and the cup ended up working. Mostly hard to get the bump stop seated because of the stiffness of the polyurethane. Boiling it solved the issue and it went right in with a mallet.

I've had no problems with these bumpstops. They are durable and they hold up to the abuse I've given them. Great value overall.

As a reminder for all those attempting to replace stock bump stops - these are 2" extended bump stops. These are meant to be used on vehicles with lift kits, on which stock bump stops are too short. I have seen a few reviews about these not fitting on certain jeeps and/or people complaining about stock height applications, so please remember that these are extended, and you must do your research to ensure that they will, in fact, fit your vehicle. To those reading the reviews consisting of severe modification of these bump stops, I say again, do your research. There is NO way you will get these in the bump stop mounting (cups?) without a press, jack, or vice, as they are a squeeze in fit with retainers in the cups to hold them in place. If you are looking for stock height bump stops, I would recommend these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FP1BFMT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I have a 3" lifted 1993 Grand Cherokee, and these fit perfectly and will stop me from having to deal with tire rub when flexed out. I recommend them for minor lift applications, but I have yet to see how they handle abuse from my suspension. Hope this helps.

I used these with stock suspension, and drastically improved rebound on the front suspension. If you have a mild lift and want to keep it streetable these are a great deal. Being a stock height 5.9L ZJ it does ride on the bump stops now where the stock would have a couple inches of clearance. I would suggest cutting .5 to 1 inch if you are stock, but only because at highway speeds the rebound is a little too aggressive. Being fair the shocks were recently replaced by the previous owner, and not sure what brand or quality they are. That said I don't want to call if bouncey, but almost bouncey if that makes sense. Aside from that cornering, speed bumps and overall ride quality is much better. I think removing enough to give a .5 inch to inch clearance to the spring plate they would ride much better for highway driving while retaining most of the other benefits.Regardless this is a great buy for any height, and more of a sport driving upgrade for stock height of lowered ZJ's if you from them a little. Totally worth the money.

This product is advertised to fit a 1984 to 2006 Jeep Cherokee. I own a 1992 Jeep Cherokee and it does NOT fit into the factory bump stop housing! It is too wide to fit into the factory bump stop housing if it is installed as it is designed to be installed, with the largest indented ring facing upwards. However, you CAN make this bump stop work in your Jeep by pressing it into the bump stop housing upside down with the smallest diameter end facing upwards! The smaller rings around the Daystar bump stop are spaced at 1" intervals. These rings are intended to be cut off locations on the rubber bump stop. The 3 clamping "fingers" on your factory, metal, bump stop housing measure just over 1" down from the inner fender well side of the factory bump stop housing (measuring down from the top.) If you lubricate the Daystar bump stop with soap such as liquid dish washing soap or Murphy's Tire Soap (I used this), and press the Daystar bump stop into your factory bump stop housing upside down, it will lock into place in the first, indented, cut off ring on the Daystar bump stop. Do NOT use grease or oil to lubricate the bump stop. You will need to install the bump stop using a small bottle jack perched on the axle pad that your coil spring sits on (around). Your coil spring must be removed, tires off, vehicle jacked up as high as is possible, and your axle supported closely off the ground with blocks of wood. You might have to unbolt the lower and upper factory control arms from the axle, one side at a time, in order to line up the axle/bottle jack/Daystar bump stop correctly. It will fight you a bit but it WILL pop into place on the first cut off ring. I have a 6" lift kit and a long arm kit installed on my 1992 Jeep Cherokee and so I had to cut off the bump stop at the largest indented ring BEFORE I pressed it into place. This was necessary in order for the installed bump stop length to be correct for my application, and to insure coil spring clearance (you are installing it with the widest end facing down). The bump stop is supposed to be installed with the widest end facing upwards! You might have to cut off more of the bump stop than I did depending on your application. Use a miter saw or a lubricated hack saw, etc. to cut off your bump stop to length. No... I do NOT have any affiliation with Daystar. I simply had to make this product work to get my jeep back on the road the same day that I received the bump stop!!! Sheesh!!! Necessity is the mother of all inventions! I hope this helps you if you run into the same problem as me! Best!!!

As another reviewer mentioned, these may need a little attention to fit. The quality of the product is great though, and my installed stops look factory, in the factory mounts. I have yet to be disappointed by Daystar, always a good bet.I used a hacksaw to cut to length (adding 1" to go up into the oem bumpstop seat), then a grinder to slowly reduce the OD on roughly the top 1 inch of the stop, until it fit my '91 Jeep Cherokee oem bumpstop mount. You can also grind a little groove into it like the factory stop had, so once you install it it will stay permanently. Use your oem bumpstop as a guide and the job is self explanatory. I suggest a light film of grease when you get it close enough that you know it will go in. Then grab your deadblow hammer and pop it in.
