Daystar Leveling Kits work within the factory suspension design, meaning that they work within the factory's design parameters to achieve an increase in ride height that levels the stance of the vehicle. As they work within the factory's design, there are not a bunch additional modifications involved. Everything needed is included in the kit; there's everything you need and nothing you don't. If there are extra items required, such as longer shocks, it's clearly stated in the application description. Torsion bar applications require their own unique approach to leveling the stance of the vehicle. With torsion bar applications, they supply new forged torsion keys that meet or exceed factory specifications. These torsion keys have been re-indexed to increase ride height up to 2 inch and level the stance of the vehicle. In select applications, extended shock brackets are also included. Daystar Leveling Kits include only front lift components to level the stance of the vehicle. They also offer Budget Boost kits, which provide a mild increase in ride height and are more economically priced than the Leveling Kits. Since the start with Leveling Kits in 1995 they have used the expertise to develop over 300 applications that span all of the popular trucks and SUVs.

Metal was so soft that the stock bolt to adjust height screwed into the keys. Recommend another brand

received today but they look different than the ones in the picture on the listing. I received black keys and they don't say made in the USA or anything and they look like someone tried to install them. Not sure if they are a return from someone else? or that's how daystar is making them now?kind of afraid to rip my truck apart and find out these don't work, then all that time and effort is wasted. Decided to return Amazon is great about returning. Better to be safe.

Works great. I wish they came with new bolts, my old ones were rusted. Make sure your front shocks can handle 0-2" over stock ride height as these do not come with and shock spacers! Attached photo shows the difference over OEM keys. I did this with GMC torsion key puller rental from O'Reilly's, instructions recommend a beefier puller but I did not have any issues. Just make sure tires are fully off the ground unloading the suspension. MAKE sure to measure ride height before installing to know what adjustments you are making. I spray painted torsion adjuster bolts to mark where factory ride was set. Alignment after installing these is a must so get any suspension upgrades done at the same time. Have fun!

The keys were perfect but not easy to remove the old ones

I bought these keys to level the front with the rear after installing a set of Air Lift 1000 air bags in the rear coils of my 2004 Yukon XL. If you have a GM fullsize SUV, you need these:http://www.amazon.com/LIFT-60769-Series-Air-Spring/dp/B000CFO0GI/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1415627118&vehicle=2004-48-559-296----8-4306------1-0&sr=1-1&ymm=2004%3Agmc%3Ayukon+xl+1500&keywords=air+lift+1000Both the bags and keys were easy to install, and allow me to raise the truck 1-3" from stock, but I bought them for the massively increased payload for those trips to Lowes. Now the tail-end doesn't drag on the ground with 50 bags of mulch in the rear. Even though I keep them aired down to the minimum pressure when not loaded up, that still keeps the rear end sitting about 1.5" above stock. So incorporating the keys makes the truck sit right. Now It's got about a 2" lift all around. It still looks stock, but a beefier kind of stock, like I got some special suspension upgrade nobody knew about.I don't know why the desription says they're made from polyurethane; they're cast iron, forged in the USA (as is proudly written on the side). The set comes with some pretty detailed instructions that walk you though the process. The difficulty of this project is pretty much dependent on how rusted your torsion bars are to the old keys. The instructions say something like "there are numerous techniques to break the bars loose but heat is not recommended." In other words, "You're going to have to figure this part out on your own, but don't take a torch to your suspesion." How easy or difficult this part goes is what separates the shadetree mechanic from the guy with the ASE patch on his shoulder. I recommend pounding them from the back with a bonking tool and a heavy punch (after unloading them, of course), using liberal amounts of WD-40 and the vehicle's weight to shake them loose. For some reason, these keys are a little bit more narrow than the stock keys, but I dont' think that affects the integrity. You absolutely need to buy a torsion bar unloading tool to do this job. Don't even think about using a C-clamp. Using the wong tool can make a slightly challenging job into an absolute knuckle-busting headache. I bought this one by Quality Suspension Advantage for $79.50 and it worked great:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ENKGRSW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1You'll need some basic tools for this job: a bottle or floor jack, 1/2" ratchet/sockets and breaker bar (since that's a pretty heavy load for a ratchet) to crank the unloading tool, 3/8 ratchet/sockets to loosen/tighten the key bolt, a 3-lb hammer and punch were not essential, but helped get the torsion bars out of the keys. That's pretty much it. Don't forget to put some Moly-B grease on the threads of the unloading tool or you'll make it a lot more difficult and increse wear on the tool. Easy job. Took about 15 minutes per side (with jacking and adjusting). Now I need to figure out what to do with the old keys. Canoe anchor? Brass knuckles? Probably good for tossing a rope over a tree branch.

Daystar KG09109 2" Torsion Bar Key Leveling KitThis was very straightforward and easy, although it looks like I lifted it I got the 2" easy. I ordered the kit and had my local mechanic do it for $220 and an alignment after that my show was ready to go! Very predictable and still rides like a champ like before. This is the cheapest of all the kits and doesn't add the rear kit lift of 1" but I like the slight lean to the rear it's sooo minor you have to look at it longer to notice. It does not consist of "high density polyurethane" as they indicated but showed up as indicated in metal and was reasonably heavy. You can depend on these, I consider this "The best of the best".

Great product. Made from forged steel in the good ol' USA. Couldn't ask for a better fit and function. Lifted the front of my Tahoe so it was perfectly level and didn't even have to max the adjuster screws all the way out. Would definetly recommend Daystar products to others based on their price and that they are made in the USA.

Great ride, not to stiff, plenty of travel to smooth out the road feel. Was a perfect bolt-on setup. When i bought it, it had said it was a poly composite, but when i got it, it was forged which was a bonus. Very happy with it
