Works great but it’s quite a small pot so good for small repairs which was what I needed

Worked perfectly to patch nail and screw holes in trim. Goes on pink, dries brown when ready to sand.

Like the ease of using, how easy to sand down after drying and how well it took stain.

I actually went to a well-known competitor for their product, but ended up coming back to the DAP 540 for using as a filler for nail holes. The other filler products are grainy, while this is smoother, and usually only requires one application before sanding. My only complaint with this product is that it will always dry out after I use about half of the container - no matter how conscientious I am about securely replacing the lid.

I love the indicator on this! I had to pretty much sculpt the bottom of a door because a dog I was looking after scratched a dent out of it. It was easy to use and sand.

Love this stuff, but work quickly when using and keep tightly sealed even when actively using it.Right out of the pot, it works great, but there's this phase it goes through just after it starts losing its pink color where it gets weirdly grainy and it falls apart while you're pushing it around your work surface. The exposed surface of the putty in the pot discolors relatively quickly when opened, making a not-insignificant amount of any small scoop you take slightly grainier than it could be.Dries quickly though, though in the future I might personally go for one that has a longer open time.Smells strange when fresh, but not overly odorous during use.Sands well when VERY dry (6+ hours), but is pretty weak when less cured. Make sure to use light sanding pressure when fresh.I've used this with pine, MDF, and as a gap filler on FDM printed PLA and it works well in all situations!Overall, good stuff! Would recommend.

Very helpful that it turns color when it's dry! Then you know when you can paint! Easy to use, soft. Good value for the money. Dries quickly!

Still works great. I recommend using on a cool day and keeping container lid on tight when not in use. Only expect a few weeks of shelf life, it dries up from just air in container. We used it to patch badly damaged fascia board below a leaking gutter (after fixing gutter). We used epoxy for large areas of damage, but we used this on some narrow areas where we scraped out damaged wood. It stayed in the crack, dried in place without sagging. Dries fast, sands nicely. We used wood hardener on wood before filling cracks, works fine with this product. We use a good primer coat over this before painting. We are in coastal temperate climate and this stuff lasts indefinitely if kept painted.
