Repair your leaky faucet with the Danco 3G-3H Stem for Price Pfister Faucets. Replacing a faucet stem is an economical alternative to replacing the entire faucet. A leaky faucet wastes both water and energy. The installation of a new faucet stem and seat will stop the drip and return your faucet to like new condition. This stem is similar to the Price Pfister OEM #910-025 and is used for hot water applications.

This is a hot cartridge. Description doesn’t let you know unless you dig into the specs. There are no returns for this. I am pissed off. No cold cartridge available. Price-Pfister came through for me and replaced the cartridge for free.

For my purposes, the o ring at the bottom was too large and prevent the stem from sitting properly, so I had to replace it with the old o ring from the previous one.You may want to use some vinegar to clean up the stem seat prior to reinstalling. Also, I wasn't sure whether or not I needed pipe dope, as it seemed like some online posts suggested it, I used plumbing tape instead and it seems to be holding up.

I have two of these for hot and two for cold. All of them arrived in perfect condition and was super easy to install with just a couple of tools. NO MORE DRIP!They are plastic and I can see where some may have arrived in pieces, but that is NOT my experience.

Was happy to find a replacement and get it so quickly. Problem is: this Danco replacement started leaking 16 months after I put it in (the original Pfister lasted 14 YEARS). Even though price and delivery was good, I am not happy that I need to redo the installation--take everything out of cabinet, drain line, crawl underneath, skin fingers, put it all back together. I am getting too old to make repairs every year and a half. Got an original Pfister replacement elsewhere this time.

This part was labeled for the hot water tap; turning 'off' should be in the clockwise direction. It was working like a cold water tap. Apparently, the internal components are the same for hot or cold. I was able to re-assemble it and make it work correctly.

I loved how perfectly the part fit and works! I dislike the fact that the off position of this valve is slightly different than the original valve. If you replace one, replace them both or they won't be in the same relative position when turned off.

I never write reviews. But I do read reviews and base purchase decisions on it. Too much more to life to write a lot of review. But here came the email requesting a review. The product did not work. I will return it. First the washer that you see in picture for the bottom was in the package but not on the unit. It was not the right size. It did not fit on the unit. If you tried to pursued it to be on the unit then it would stay but would fall off during installation, then you would have to retrieve it, and try it all over again. I actually considered super gluing it, but before I could implement this the white plastic that is located very near the washer I just talked about broke during one installation attempt. I bought both cold and hot. I will return both. I am very mechanically inclined and do many many repairs on things I own. This product not working was not a 'me' issue. It was a product issue.

The 3G-3H hot stem works if you install it properly! First, clean out the base where the hot stem goes into the faucet with CLR or vinegar, removing any dirt or sediment. You might need to apply some plumber grease or petroleum grease to the threads of the inside of the hot faucet before you insert the stem inside. The most important step is to line up the stem with the threads in the base and hand-tighten the stem into the base. Once you have tightened the stem as far as you can, you tighten the stem with a wrench or pliers a quarter of a turn. "Never, Never, Never, over-tighten the stem"!!! If you over-tighten the hot stem, the hot stem will either break and come apart or will eventually stop working and the hot side of your faucet will start to leak. Installing the hot stem is different from installing the cold stem 3G-3C, which you need to tighten with a wrench or pliers for a number of turns after you hand-tighten. I learned all of this from talking to the technical experts at Danco.Personal Note: If you are on well water/hard water the stem won't last as long as it would on city water. The stem will only last for a year or so. I'm on a private well and have been using the 3G-3H for the past 10 years, with an average life of about 1 1/2 years.
