All I was worried about was ripping the grooves on the old one and rounding it inside; but somehow I took it out. I'll see how long it works and let you know. So far it's ok for a few days so I gave it 4 stars as a benefit of doubt.

These fit my American Stand shower faucet perfectly and solved my leaking. With something like this it's either pass or fail and these passed with flying colors. I thought I was buying one, but I was very happy to receive a pair, which turned out to be needed.
