I ordered the medium size geodes. I received one extra in my bag which was a pleasant surprise considering these were purchased as valentines for my daughters 3rd grade class, so I got to keep one for myself!My geode broke into three large, distinguishable pieces!The photo doesn't do justice to how much it glistens in the light!

Let me say this: I am old today when I discovered how much I love GEODE rock breaking! Yes, I am an adult, but I love Geodes, and this was such a stress reliever. The Geodes are beautiful, and some are easier to break than others, but they are all worth the effort! This set of rocks is great fun for me and my grandchildren! I gladly give this product five stars and would give more!

Perfect little Christmas gift for a little guy who loves rocks! There are so many, great value for the price, and it's a blast to watch him smash them and find the pretty inside. Would recommend!

This provided hours of fun for the kids. Educational. I loved the variety in each geode. The quality was great. The geodes were a good size so the kids didn’t hammer their fingers. Each geode was so unique and beautiful. Great value for the cost!

Wish they were bigger but that’s ok. A tonne in the box, excellent price, lots of sparkly half geodes when you open them. I would buy again but maybe larger size. Otherwise excellent

I ordered a pack of the medium size geodes for my daughter’s birthday party. I buried them in the sandbox and the kids dug for hours to find them all. They were a huge hit and all hollow and beautiful.Two weeks later, I decided to order a box of the large sized geodes to include in our annual Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately, when they arrived I discovered that 13 of the 25 are completely solid and not hollow at all. I’m a total rock hound and I know geodes. It was obvious upon picking them up that they are much heavier than a hollow geode is. I decided to test them with my trusty hammer and sure enough, none of them will break even with great force. Maybe it’s just a freak thing. They are sending a replacement and I’ll update if this box is better.All in all, I’d stick to the medium size if you are choosing between the two. They really weren’t much smaller, if at all.

This activity is absolutely superb and perfect for enjoying with every member of your family or friends. The Quartz crystals inside are incredibly well-defined, with most of them being clean and either small crystals or larger, well-grown point quartz. There may be 1 or 2 that are full or undesirable, but overall, this is one of the coolest gifts you can give, especially if the recipient is a fan of mineral specimens. I highly recommend it!
