The Slayer Pro Knee Pads build on the design of the Slayer Pads. They're still lightweight and designed for riding the up and down but with the added benefit of strategic side padding and an adjustable elastic fit strap. The dual-density DK Impact foam and durable Cordura® outer offer CE-certified protection. The pre-curved shape and flexible padding create a custom-fit feel, while full-stretch mesh back panels maintain all-day breathability. Integrated odor control helps fight the stink factor.

The sizing is fairly small for these. Ordered Mediums as that's what fits me and partner in every other brand. I've ended up with both pairs as I can wear them comfortably , missus has had to order an XL.Theyre a faff to get on (more so get off after a ride) but they don't slide down and don't really move. Comfortable , good impact resistance if frontal impact

In less than a dozen rides and only being rinsed, not put through a washer, the stitching that holds the grippy dots started unravelling. I opened a warranty case on May 1st and have not heard a response....I would not recommend purchasing any Dakine products given their utter lack of customer support.Update: After nearly 3 months of waiting I did finally hear back from the company and was offered a full refund. They have provided good protection even though the stitching is slowly failing, so if you have a backup set if they fall apart and can wait up to 3 months for a replacement then they're not bad at their current price.

Great build quality. On the stiffer side but very comfortable.

I dont know what all the hype is about, these are terrible. Dakine was right on the mark with the ergo fit, the knee, and the lateral padding placement and size. but the materials used for the sleeve is horrible. Very stiff, very thick, and very hot. I tried using these at my local moderate climb to good DH. pedaling is bad. 70 degree day. I had to stop quite a few times to pull them up. Once they would settle a few cm's down from fully pulled up, that thick material behind the knee chaffed like a mother. they really have to be super tightened with the velcro strap. but still, if they budge, its pure torture. maybe these are a better option for the chairlift bike park, but not for pedaling

I've been through a lot of pads. As in dozens of pairs. Unfortunately, I'm often in-between sizes which is another way of saying no sizes fit well. However, with these new Dakine Slayer pads, I'm right in the middle of the size large on their chart and that holds true to the actual fit. Also good: comfortable materials but appears well made (only two rides and two washes so far so we'll see). Knee side padding is minimal but much better than the sleave only pads. Top velcro strap allows dialing in the fit and is high up so stays under the shorts. Calf fit is just right (snug so it doesn't slip but not constricting).

These look great, the materials are high quality, and the company stands behind their product. That is where the positives stop. They don’t fit properly and when you sweat, the silicone dots get slippery. These are also not lightweight pads. They are bulky and stiff, yet do not offer much protection. I fell directly on my knee and it’s clear that that pad is just foam, as it only prevented my knee from getting a cut but does nothing for impact. I would not recommend these pads.Silver lining: Dakine gave me my money back and said the ones I received may be defective

These are my third knee pads; first were Kali Azure's which were great just too big, next I tried the POC's VPD's and absolutely hated where they landed behind my knee. I went this route. It was a toss up between the new G-form Rugged and these. I like the look of these a little more and had heard the impact technology was very good.I haven't had a really good crash, but I've put 100 miles on these. They are very pedal friendly and comfortable. They don't slide down thanks to the silicone inside and the strap. If you are here looking for pads and you want more protection than a basic XC sleeve (somewhere between Trail and Enduro). This is it!

I upgrade my knee pads to these because I didn’t like my last pair. These are crazy comfortable and super robust. I ride mostly in S Lake Tahoe. So we routinely have to pedal during and after the downhill.I’m 5-7, ~150, with slightly larger thighs/quads than average (hockey) and bought medium. Fit great.

I haven’t ridden with these and plan to return them for the knee sleeves. They’re a bit bulky and doesn’t seem like they would feel good to pedal in. They seem more of a downhill pad than an all mountain pad. I ordered a medium based on the size chart. The thigh felt good but the calf area was loose around my calf. Other than that, very cool and durable looking pad, just want something a little more flexible.
