Flies true and flies straight. Packs a punch for sure, even with the original Daisy tubing slingshot. Never been disappointed in the Daisy brand.

These are very well rounded & have an excellent shinny finish. I moved up from 1/4" balls to 3/8" balls so I could see them in flight when the sun is above & behind me. Otherwise, I can't really see where they're going in the brush behind my house. The 1/2" balls are great for this, too. But, more expensive & don't travel quite as far. WGB Ukiah CA

I recently purchased a Daisy slingshot on Amazon and at the same time bought this product (Daisy Outdoor Products, 988183-446 steel slingshot ammo, 3/8 inch, 70 steel balls) in order to practice with. They came the same day and I went outside away from people and began practicing using this Daisy slingshot ammo against trees, cans and bottles in the area.I found playing with this slingshot was fun but the steel balls can also seriously hurt people and should NOT be used to aim at people using this Daisy slingshot and ammo. You should only practice on targets made for this slingshot ammo, cans and bottles. If you are into practicing using slingshots you may want to check out this Daisy slingshot ammo.Rating: 4 Stars. I absolutely loved these. The container these come in stays closed yet is easy to open and grab another ball for that next shot. Easy to hold, the weight of the total item is almost impossible to notice, and stays on my belt easily. I don't need a different brand anymore. Daisy has my loyalty now. And incredible quality for the price.

Works as designed and described. It's a bit bigger and heavier than I expected. I bought this to use for the "The Pocket Shot". Works fine with it. The wrapping looks a bit old (yellow) so it may of been on the shelf for a couple years but that's ok. It's still nice an shiny when I opened it! I hope the targets will appreciate it's mirror like reflection as it comes rocketing at it!

This item is exactly as described, though I wish they offered 1/2" steel balls from Daisy on Amazon. I find the smaller shot awkward and easy to drop, though the smaller and lighter shot does fly faster and flatter. Personal preference. The belt hooks on the case are great as they make it more convenient to grab another ball for loading.

The 3/8 inch size is easy to hold in the slingshot pouch and the they are a nice polished steel. They do, however, have a small flat spot from the casting process and so are not perfectly round. Obviously you also get fewer of this size than the smaller size round shot, but I think if you were really trying to bring down a squirrel or rabbit you would need this size. (I am packing it as survival gear.) Ahem, if you are using a solid wood backstop to practice, be wary of ricochets as the steel shot does NOT deform like lead upon impact with the wood, and the wood has enough resiliency to bounce them straight back at you. So consider a shock-absorbing backstop for practice and for heavens sake wear eye protection at the minimum!
