Upon unpacking, the cello was pretty, but not nearly so " highly flamed" as the picture. The tuning between strings didn't quite match up; I used a tuner that gave a readout in hz. Maybe it was because the grooves in the top nut were not perfectly straight on the d, and especially the g. Oddly, the open g had greater projection and the c sounded choked.The pivotal flaw was a sliver missing from the neck where it joined at the fingerboard. This was a potential problem that might have caused separation, warping. Bottom line, it was B stock at best, with no resale value. Maybe others might land a good one. I wasn't willing to risk further aggravation on an exchange. Sent back for refund.

This cello is a great value for the quality of the item. The only complaint would be the default strings, but easy enough to replace.

The body of the cello is well made but it came with low quality strings which have to be replaced. The quality of the bow was poor and need to be upgraded. The case is a cheap one which offers little protection for the instrument. There are a lot of cellos offering at the price range of $250. For this one, while the price is doubled, the seller should give better accessories.
