I'm completely satisfied with these dulcimer strings. Excellent in all respects - and the sound is very pleasing - bright... just right. And they arrived sooner than expected which I was very happy about. Will definitely order again.

Worked perfectly on my Smokey Mountain Strumstick. Not to be confused with the other brand which trademarked the name strumstick after S.M. Dulcimers had been hand making and selling them for decades. Actually improved the sound. Plus since the extra high D string is the sting that broke on the original set, I have a spare.

D'Addario always makes great stuff, just some info below.- In my experience their strings tend to last longer and break less (though, most people aren't aggressive enough on a dulcimer to do much string breaking).- These don't come in the same sealed package as their guitar strings, though I'm not sure how necessary that actually is.-Thoughts on sound and tone tend to be pretty subjective, but I find these to be very bright and crisp.I'll definitely be buying more as I have need

I have used D'Addario strings on 12 different lap dulcimers, 2 6 string guitars, a 12 string guitar, a violin, and a 5 string banjo. D'Addario has never let me down for quality. Sometimes I'll choose a more "elegant" / expensive set of strings for an instrument, for a time, but I always come back to these - and it is hard to beat the price!

I got my first Dulcimer for Christmas. The shop owner suggested that I always keep strings on hand just in case one breaks and suggested that I check these out on Amazon. I like that fact that you get a set if 4 strings with the different sizes that you would need. Thank goodness I haven't had to replace any strings yet, but I am confident that these strings will keep me strumming. I love the fact that they are made in the U.S.A.

I play with a noter. Some string sets are too slack in the lower tunings and produce a lot of stray noises. These are just right. The melody is clear, with enough volume and sustain to handle slides. The bass is mellow, creating a nicely-balanced drone that doesn't overpower the melody. At such a reasonable price, this set is definitely worth a try if you're not getting the sound you want from your current strings.

I do not buy many dulcimer strings, but these are excellent. The only problem I had was your advertizing. You do not have whether they are ball end or loop end. This is very important information, because of thetype of dulcimer you have. I had to call the company to find out the information. Amazon, please putthis information on the strings you sell.
