The thin silicone bead applied to the gasket is very inconsistent and has gaps all over the place, unlike what's visible in the product picture and in photos from other reviews. This should not have passed QC inspection and I wouldn't trust this to form a proper seal by itself.

Not a true lube locker. Part numbers transpose but you will be getting a Chinese version. Looks as if it will work fine but know it’s not the real made in USA gasket.

This gasket fit perfectly on my differential. It was the exact size and had great compression when I clamped it down with no leaks. Highly recommend using this gasket over rtv

Gasket came in a stiff package to prevent bending. It looks good and it fit perfect on my 2006 TJ Rubicon Dana 44. I cleaned the cover and housing with a razor blade and used carburetor cleaner to make sure it was nice and clean. sprayed the gears with brake cleaner & didn't put anything on either side of gasket for a sealer, then tightened it finger tight and used the side to side method to tghten it down. Then drove it about 40 miles with No leaks. Not sure if it reusable, but for the price and not having to scrape off any RTV - I don't care.

It's a steel core gasket.It measured roughly .029 overall thickness and 0.25 on the fiber portion only.So the silicon bead is about .002 per side.It's very much like the ones that cost 2x more.These are good for aluminum differential covers and are somewhat reusable for those that remove the cover regularly. (Put a light film of oil on it before assembly to prevent it from sticking and tearing apart.)I would probably use RTV on a stamped steel cover, especially if it was old, beat up, and I have no intention of removing it any time soon.It's a decent gasket if you are trying to cure you case of Drippy Di ff.I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You !!

Very much reminds me of the ever famous Lubelocker gaskets, but at a fraction of the price!I've done 3 changes so far with this gasket with no complaints, I see a lot of water and like to make sure my oil isn't contaminated, and RTV gets old scraping off!
