Designed specifically for classical guitars and instruments with flat (non-radiused) fret boards, the NS Artist Classical Capo utilizes a patented trigger geometry reducing the force required to open and close the capo while applying even tension regardless of neck profile. Combined with the micrometer tension adjustment and direct horizontal pressure, the NS Artist Classical Capo virtually eliminates pulling the strings side to side and the need to retune during use. Additionally, the trigger design and lightweight aluminum construction adds no obstruction or noticeable weight to the neck of the instrument. The NS Artist Classical Capo includes an NS Mini/Micro Tuner mounting bracket, allowing you to add tuning capabilities to the capo. Tuner sold separately. D'Addario products promise to be the most innovative professional musician's tools available. Our diverse capo line is no exception. Many of our groundbreaking models are the result of a productive joint effort between famed designer Ned Steinberger and Jim D'Addario. No matter what style of capo you prefer, D'Addario has the capo for you.

D’Addario makes good quality strings and accessories and it continues with this capo. I own several different brands and styles of capos, this does the job on multiple necks and had a great price.

Grips strings in both orientations (1st string and 6th). Works with drop tunings and standard. Don't even need to tighten the screw unless you use steel string. Works on bass guitar. Overall, perfectly worth the money.

Finally I found right one for my Electric Guitar. I’ve tried lots of capos from Amazon. But problems are I have to Retuning, so uncomfortable, doesn’t fit, easy to broken to my guitar but this one is right one. I already have one for Acoustic Guitar. But this time I ordered Daddario’s Classical capo on purpose. Finally I’m happy for it.

I play eight string electric, and this capo will go to the third fret it may be different on your guitar. I wish it was a little longer so that I could slide down to at least the 10th, but after the third, the low F sharp rattles as it is just not wide enough but I’m sure for regular acoustic, or classical Guitar it would work wonderfully. it applies quite a bit of pressure without having to adjust it right out of the package. I recommend them they’re very well made. They also are very thin which is nice that your hand doesn’t bump into the capo when close to it.. good luck. Hope your songs are good all are those that play

I like this classical guitar capo better than any I’ve tried previously. It clamps easily and sturdily to the neck of my Alvarez classical guitar. It is not in the way of any fingering combinations that I currently attempt at my advanced beginners level of playing. The capo at its most open position clamps well and if need be a slight turn or two of the adjustment nut will quickly and easily eliminate any buzz and have the notes ringing out in tune properly with just the right pressure at a minimum to avoid causing the strings to go out of tune from too much clamping pressure.I couldn’t be happier or more satisfied with this D’Addario product! Well done!

I was offered the chance to review this item. I have used other Planet Waves items before, but this is my first capo made by this company. The capo, first off, is really nicely made. The product boasts of "aircraft grade aluminum" which sounds impressive, but has little practical meaning, really. On the other hand, unlike my other capo, this feels a but more substantially made. In other words, there is a feeling of a quality build to this item. This capo boasts a spring for tension adjustment, which is a nice touch. I am using this on a regular acoustic guitar with a straight fretboard and this fits very nicely. The tension spring is helpful and is nice to have. There is also a mounting bracket for a micro-tuner that makes this capo have more use. I really like having the ability to clip the tuner on the capo.Overall?: This is a bit more expensive than a regular capo (typically around $10-$15) but this has some really nice features. I like clipping this on and playing around with my guitar. And the construction feels really nice and probably worth it given the spring and quality of the item.
