The only thing to verify is the hole for the hitch pin is at the same length as your hitch. Mine wasn't so I had to drill a hole to get a proper alignment. Otherwise I have mo problems with it at all.

It's made out of plastic and the plug would not fit the receptical on my truck. I was able to cut away some of the plastic on the connector to get it to work. The wires are a little short also so I have to run it directly to the receptical preventing me from trying to hide it behind the receiver.

Although I haven't connected it to the vehicle it is intended I have seen the wiring connector and it looks good. The 2-inch square red lens looks as though it will offer great illumination when lighted when the brakes are activated. I anticipate no issues with the product when I do install it since it is a fairly straight-forward & simple technology. Delivery time of the item was, as almost always, very satisfactory. It arrived within 3 days of the order being placed without using the "overnight delivery" option. Overall I am very satisfied with the item as well as the delivery schedule.

Granted, my situation is a bit unusual. When I bought my car 11 years ago I had a 1 and 1/4 inch receiver welded to the frame for a boat. I sold the boat and thought this lite would be perfect to place in the receiver and hide a back up key for the car. I bought a 1 1/4" to 2" adapter for the lite. Big mistake. Everything stuck out much further than I liked and it didn't matter anyway because the lite didn't fit around the 2" receiver and even if it had there wasn't enough play to accomodate the 5/8" hole. The solution was simple. I got rid of the 2" adapter and using a 7 inch 1 1/4 inch piece of wood I mounted the lite into it with a bolt for an exact fit and then drilled a 5/8" hole through the wood for the receiver on the car. Everything works perfectly and the lite is certainly brite enough!

Weirdly long wires which were a pain to wrap up and get out of the way. Otherwise it works great with my car (Ioniq 5). Unlike others I didn't have any problems with the signal lights. It only lit up when I use the brake. Otherwise it was off. Nice and bright. Good value.

As others indicated, this light blinks when the right turn signal blinks. The more dim parking light function works, as does the brighter brake light function. But, if blinks when it shouldn't. So... back it went.

how can you have too many brake lights? We put a hitch on our Kia Telluride and this is a better solution to cover the hitch hole than a emblem or something. This is bright and gives you a fourth brake light for those tailgating behind you.

Works. Plastic's a bit cheap and it would be nice if they were able to hide the wires better. Other than that, looks good.

I bought this for my 2019 Ford Flex with factory towing package. Out of the box, the wiring connector didn't fit. First thing I did was trim off the 'sides' of the connector, exposing the pins. Then I took a touch off the enclosed pin and then it fit. It tested well and worked with primary brakes.Next was the fitment. When installed and my locking pin installed, the unit sat proud of the hitch by at least 1". I installed it flush, marked the holes I wanted, then used a drill bit and step but to widen the hole. Sadly, this went right through an internal brace. So I decided to totally disassemble. They attached the connector at the factory after installing the board, so to remove I had to cut the wires, which I did. I could the totally remove the board and wiring.Once apart, I widen the hole and removed the internal plastic parts that were in the way. I widened the inside area to pass the connector through.Which I had it apart, I stripped the wires and prepared for a splice. There is no weather protection inside down the shaft, so I double heat shrinked it. 4 crimps and some HS tubing and it was one piece again.I decided I didn't like the colored wire, so while it was apart I taped off the end and hit the whole thing with matte black enamel, two coats. Now for reassembly.I put it back together and was able to hide the splice inside the front chamber. With new holes drilled, it sat flush to the hitch and looked much better. I installed the connected and hid the extra wire inside the bumper with a bread tie. I didn't want to use a zip tie, for easy removal. All that took about 30 minutes, plus drying time. I'm much happier with the final result. Thank you for reading.

Purchased for our camper van before our 9400-mile round trip from California to Alaska. It survived many miles of very rough roads. Very easy installation. Very bright light. Due to quirks in our van's taillight design, the light flashes when the turn signal is set for a right turn, but that does not bother me. What is important is the bright light when braking.
