I ordered this for my daughter's Science Fair project on Chromatography (analyzing colors). It worked well and it was easy for her (age 10) to handle. The fact that it came in a long roll made it just what we needed because she had to measure and cut several strips of the same length. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I felt it absorbed the water a little too fast; but that's a small thing. She was able to read the results fine. The project's online instructions listed coffee filter paper to use and it was while doing research 2 days before the experiment had to be done that I read filters would give bad results. I had to find genuine chromatography paper quickly and I was glad to find this.
