The top is hard to remove for refilling and opening is small making it challenging to get a toothpick.

I hate seeing toothpicks out on the table or counter and this pretty little container hides them perfectly. The lid fits nice and tight and the "brass" color is a nice expensive looking brass, not yellow gold.

I switched my kitchen over to brass/gold/bronze. This goes very well on my wooden lazy Susan that also has brass salt and pepper shakers and a brass salt cellar.

Absolutely love our new toothpick holder. It was definitely larger than I expected, but I'm not disappointed.Cons: The lid was nearly impossible to get off. A little too tight a fit! Tools were required. Once off, we bent the inside edge slightly in multiple spots to make sure it wouldn't get stuck again. That seemed to help.I'd still buy it again. It's a great value and well made.Other comments re: black inside. Wash first. It's a metal milled product it may have residual oils from machining, that seems like common sense to me. I wash everything first so it wasn't really an extra step.

Forget about the eyesore of toothpicks on the counter with this little cutie. Easy to use and the toothpicks come out easy. Easy to clean as well, and it looks so much better! Great buy!
