Out of the box, item was not 3"; however, as noted by seller, after given time to "breathe", it indeed was 3". There was a slight odor that dissipated; now it just smells like my other, new, foam items..no bettter, no worse. I used it for car camping in a 2023 Kia Sorento; slept on it 2 nights, it was Very comfortable. I am pleased with my purchase. Also, great customer service; received a reply back on the same day.

I loved this product, even though I returned because I ended up not needing, but it was very soft and comfortable! The foam gave support and cushion at the same time. It felt just like a memory foam topper for a bed. If being used on a cot or even just on the ground this is great! The thickness was a good size to still be able to roll it up and the product to take up minimal space for travel. Very easy to open and layout for use!

I took a trip up the Oregon coast car camping the entire way and this was a life saver. It made sleeping very comfortable both on the ground and in the back of the car if it was raining. Thick and soft, durable and with nice features like soft cover and straps to make roll up easy.

I needed a much firmer cot cushion than the one that came with it and decided on this one for the fact I read in a review, “I couldn’t feel the bars underneath me at all.” Sold! I didn’t measure my cot when I ordered this mat, so it overlaps by about 1-2” each side, but I don’t care. I’m using the original cushion my cot came with (to fill in the ‘dip’ of cot, which makes standing up a challenge at times) and this firmer mat on top. I use a fitted sheet and the set up is rather comfortable; I’m 6’1” and 315#. Because my mat overlaps, if it does shift a little it still covers the side bars when getting out. There are little “gripper” dots on bottom but not amazingly effective. Especially when rolling mat up for storage/ travel: no matter how tight I try to roll it one end unrolls a bit as I wrestle the sewn on straps to keep rolled up. Make sure you check the shipping box for the storage cover! I found it when I was prepping the cardboard for the recycling bin. I recommend this mat for comfort, storage features and thickness. It’s allowed me to get adequate sleep while staying with family as they recover from surgery.

We planned a 2 week camping trip out west this summer, with some hotel stays and some camping. I don't do well sleeping on the ground, and dislike air mattresses, so I ordered this pad, hoping for the best. My husband and sons had thin pads under their sleeping bags, and ended up being really jealous of me with my comfy setup! This pad did not disappoint - I slept so well!! I never felt the ground. I'm 5'4", and maybe 180 pounds, so it was plenty long enough and wide enough. It's great to have at home now, too, for sleepovers for the kids. Only issue was that when rolled up, it took up a lot of space in the truck bed. We ended up unrolling it and laying it on top of everything, which was a better use of space. It comes with a zipper bag and has a velvet-like cover that can be removed for washing.

Decent quality sleeping pad, two different layers of foam and a nice cover as advertised. Came with a large storage case with carrying straps in addition to the straps for rolling it up built into the cover. Very soft comfortable top on the cover, and the foam itself is very comfortable in spite of being thinner foam than some other options. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the smell.Washed the cover and left the foam pad itself outside for a couple of days, steam washed the foam with an extractor, along with leaving it inside the storage bag with an ozone generator for a few hours but still a significant smell coming from the pad. Leaving it outside to just air out didn't help much at all, steam cleaning and leaving it in the bag with ozone helped cut down the smell a decent bit but still a long ways to go before I would consider the smell insignificant or minor. The cover at least didn't smell at all after washing it so I still have hope the smell isn't too persistent and will improve over time. I will definately leave it sitting outside at least a week or so more with a few more cycles with the ozone generator before I consider actually using it for camping, stunk up my whole car almost instantly even after over a day of sitting outside.
