Even with wall anchors the bike when placed on the mount, ripped it out of the wall. I returned it.

Even though the product looks sturdy, there are two problems with it.1. The nut holes in the base are too far apart to be able to fix on a stud.2. The anchors provided were concrete wall anchors.I had to create two holes in the center of the plate to fix on a stud in the wall. Maybe I didn’t get them in the right place, because it stayed on the wall only for a week before the stand and bike came crashing down on my parked car. (Thanks God no one got hurt). Update to previous review: The customer service team was very prompt and reached out to me reading this review and promptly offered me a full refund. 5 stars for the customer service.

I use the mounts for 50lb ebikes. I've been using for over six months so I now have a good idea of the quality. They have been great. It's a little challenging to get the bikes on this type of rack until you figure it out your best method. Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy. My tires are about 2" wide and that's close to the maximum width that will fit. Thick knobby tires won't fit. The one issue I've had is the padding on the hanger bar has begun to wear. There is a lot of downward rubbing on the padding, especially if you have a heavy bike. I'd recommend putting duct tape around the bar from the beginning to stop the rim from wearing through the padding. This wouldn't be a problem on a light bicycle, but I'd do it regardless to make sure the rim is protected. In my opinion, this type of hanger rack must be mounted directly into a beam. It's easy to do since the mounting holes are vertical. Even with a light bicycle there will be quite a bit of downward pressure on the bike as its mounted, removed, and if you do any work on it while hanging such as adding air to the tires. I would not trust using drywall only mounts. This isn't unique to this particular hanger, but rather any type of hanger that needs to support so much weight and has a lot of downward pressure.

I’ve had my mountain bike hanging on this rack in my garage for a few months now and it’s just as sturdy as day one. I would definitely suggest this if you need a hood bike rack you don’t have to worry about.
