This is a well built case and might be worth the price but I could not get my bike to fit in it. I have internally routed hydraulic brake lines and, even after unbolting the brake calipers I could not get enough slack in the lines to turn the handlebar the required 90° and position it to fit. So, I didn't get to see how well it performed in actual use.

Bottom line: This case exceeded my expectations, and I expect it to serve me well for many trips to come.I purchased this case in order to fly internationally from Washington, D.C., to Oslo, Norway with a connection in Iceland. At first, I was a little weary of how it was going to hold up; I had gotten warnings from others to stick to heavier, more expensive, hard-shell cases. Though, after putting my trip in the books, I have to say that I was very impressed with how it went. There is plenty of room inside of the case for both wheels and plenty of packing paper. There was even space left over to accommodate my helmet, cycling cleats, and a few other things like water bottles and spare innertubes. There's also a zippered pocket on the middle foam divider which accommodated the perfect space for all the wrenches and other items I needed to take with me.Overall, I was very happy with the case and I expect it would still work well for many trips to come. It's lightweight, but still very durable, which can't be understated when it comes to air travel. When making a decision between this, and the more expensive hard-shell options falling in the $1000 range, I think choosing this case is a no-brainer!

This case was actually better than expected. I packed my Pinarello Opera and checked as baggage on an international flight. I had bubble wrapped the derailleurs and used rigid spacers for the forks to avoid any issues. The case is reasonably well made, zipper is heavy duty and there are well thought out retaining web straps with buckles, the wheel bags keep the wheels, and there is an internal padded divider that provides more stability and separates the frame from the wheel bags. Plenty of additional room for saddle, shoes. etc. A good buy for the occassional traveler.

Traveled from Boston to Mallorca Spain, switching flights in Madrid. First time ever traveling overseas with our road bikes. We purchased these cases after researching and weighing out options to just rent when we got there. We paid 450.00 each on Amazon with free shipping. It would have cost 350.00 to rent each bike overseas. Figuring that if all went well, we would have the cases for future trips and save on rental fees. Having our own bikes that we are properly fitted for, and comfortable riding, made us pull the trigger on the cases. The fit and finish of the cases, zippers, wheels and hard-shell light weight construction exceeded our expectations! Securing the bikes in the cases was a breeze, and there was plenty of room left for helmets, shoes, tools and even a floor pump. Both bikes weigh in at approximately 17 lbs each with pedals and the final weight of each case loaded was around 44 lbs. I cut up sections of movers tarps for added padding where needed which worked great! Maneuvering through the airports was actually kind of fun and easy to do pulling our other luggage as well. We were advised by our cycling friends to NOT pay in advance for "sports equipment" cases, which would have cost 180.00 per case each way. We waited to weigh in at baggage check in and breezed through both ways with no charges! Not to say that's always the case, but it paid of huge this trip! Others we traveled with did get charged that had bigger cases. Of course there is always the chance of lost baggage, but the cases were not an issue. TSA did go through them both and there were no issues. Easy for TSA to open and close. For the price you pay its worth it. Glad we paid a bit extra instead of going canvas.

I flew with a bike about 15 times this summer. I’m now on my second case. All domestic flights in the US. It’s a good case but not great. The disks brakes on my road bike got damaged on one trip. I also added kayak handles and skids bars to to new one. The handles are a must as the airline doesn’t have a good place to put your baggage tag. Also the bottom support, the long thin plastic piece shown in the picks is weak and will break. When it breaks your roller case will pull to one side. For the price and just making a trip or two a year, it’s a good case.

I have tried tow of my bikes in this box but none fits. My Malvern Star did not fit and I had to leave it behind. Then bought Cannondale super evo 54 inches which also would not fit. I dismantled bike as recommended but it failed to fit. It appears that the box is too small for the main frame by about two inches. What am I doing wrong or is it the bag? It was very frustrating that I could not take my bike on my last US trip and had to buy a cheap new bike in USA to keep fit.

I bought this case for a move from the US to Germany and it is awesome!!! It has several straps to hold your bike and wheels securely in place. The case is very high quality and protects your bike really well. It rolls easily through the airport and is very stable. I do wish the rear wheels also rotated 360°. It was a little awkward to turn around. One other thing that could be improved is the side the frame goes on could be padded more. I bought some 1inch thick high density foam chair pads from Joann's fabric to line the case which worked really well. I was able to fit a second set of tires and my helmet in the case. The included wheel bags are also great. I did wrap parts of the rear triangle and my rear derailleur in foam and zip tied it and my seat to the frame. I also taped a piece of paper with my address on it to the inside of the case along with a note to TSA and customs to rebuckle the straps and zip up all the zippers. My bike arrived safe and sound and I know this case will last for several years to come.
