OEM Batteries, packaged very well, arrived on time, and were undamaged in any way. Kudos!Replacement was pretty straightforward - unscrew two screws on the bottom of the faceplate, slide the faceplate down toward the bottom of the unit, and lift. The old batteries are easily accessible from that point out - just remove the plate holding one of the batteries, then wrestle (I mean that!) with the wires to take them off, remove old batteries, replace with new ones, reconnect cables, put the retention plate back (2 screws there also), then slide and secure the faceplate, and you’re done! Oh, just make sure to power down and unplug the UPS - no need to get jolted! The batteries I received actually were the upgraded version of what I purchased.Overall, a very uneventful replacement, which is exactly what you want!

I bought this RB1280X2B replacement battery pack (2-batteries set by CyberPower ready-to-go) to replace a failed battery pack in my old CTS1400S (1400va) UPS. They came when promised, were delivered on-time and properly, were boxed properly and well-secured safe from any damage. They arrived fully charged. The existing battery pack was easy to extract (remove 2-screws from the bottom of the face plate, slide it down about 3/8" of an inch to release the tabs from the slots, and gently pull off) and the new pack was easy to slip in. It was about a 3-min project altogether. The hardest part was removing the power plug from the existing battery pack as it's a nice tight fit. After getting this setup I plugged int he unit and verified it was working, plugged in a very light load and simulated a power failure. I let it draw down to 80% capacity, then plugged it back into utility power to check for charging issues. It passed all tests and is now in service. The tech I spoke to at CyberPower years ago recommended as a rule-of-thumb no more than 3-battery rotations, the original plus two, but in any kind of production environment figure two rotations (original plus one replacement) then replace the UPS. This seems to hold true for us as after the first set of replacement batteries goes out, they charger circuitry is getting pretty beat up.All-in-all the CyberPower replacements have been a good value for us. I can't speak to "aftermarket" types, but it's worth noting the CyberPower-labeled battery pack we received was made by Leoth in China.

Battery was well armored for shipment, and was chargeg to about 80%. The included leaflet did not give enough detail to open the UPS. YouTube gave the answer: After removing two screws on the bottom, slide the front panel down -- it has 4 hooks. Once the panel is loose, the battery can be pulled out (using much muscle). The new battery did not go in easily. Look in the cavity's narrow areas. One is smooth the other has several ribs. Put the smooth side down so that gravity will help you wiggle the battery in past the ribs. Once the battery is fully seated, plug the cable in and mash hard to get it all the way seated. Next tuck the wires in and examine the slots that the front-panel hooks will go in. Make sure they are clear. I had to move the battery cables a bit.

It fit and it works...what more can I say. Knocking some stars off for price and ease of install. Price wise, it cost half the price of the original UPS, which just feels like a lot. I definitely had some struggles with reinstalling the face of the unit once I got the new battery in...the face just didn't want to sit right and slide into place which made me wonder if this battery was just a hair larger than the old battery but I wasn't going to try and remove it to compare.

I have two UPSs currently in operation. One 8 years old and one four years old, both running off of their original batteries. The older one finally started complaining about its battery not holding a charge, so I needed to get a new one. This UPS was running my cable modem and firewall, so critical to my network. The other UPS was on my main system and accessory equipment. I decided to give the 4-year old a load test and it failed. Ok, guess I'm getting two new batteries now.CyberPower's battery design is two 12V batteries in series instead of in parallel. Without a lot of work to reconfigure two generic batteries, I just went ahead and bought the appropriate CyberPower units. The two batteries were well packaged and protected from shipping damage. There were no outer boxes, just the original boxes with a UPS sticker slapped on them. No biggie.Installation was quite simple. A single screw to remove in order to slide the front panel off and disconnect the cabling. The older UPS has typical 1/4" spade connectors so it was a little work to disconnect the old battery and connect the new one. The 4-year old has a nonstandard connector making generic replacements more difficult, but making reconnection with approved components a breeze.I'm glad I replaced them when I did because last week the power went out without notice for a couple hours and I could shut my computer, my NAS and firewall down correctly with time to spare. Well worth the investment!

It seems to work fine and saved my CP1500PFCLCD from being disposed of. However be aware that (a) this model does not support hot swapping of batteries (confirmed with CyberPower support) and (b) it is an EXTREMELY snug fit. Getting the old one out was a little tough and I wrote it off to possible swelling of the batteries. However installing the new one must involve some trick to get it fully seated and the (large heavy duty) wiring routed in a very exact spot, because I’ve never succeeded in getting the front panel to seat properly since installing the new battery. It is working and partially attached but not fully closed, resulting in the front of the UPS being propped up 1/2” off the floor by the front panel that won’t fully close. Since I couldn’t afford to shut it down again at that moment to mess around with reseating then battery I just left it this way for now but it’s obviously less than ideal.

I wasn't absolutely sure my problem was with the battery but I called Cyber Power's tech support and they suspected it was a battery issue. From the serial number he confirmed my CP1500PFCLCD was built in 2011 (I bought it in 2012) and that typically batteries last 3-5 years. He also confirmed my battery was the RB1280X2B model. Ordered the replacement battery on Amazon (thanks to other reviewers for flagging there are two battery models), it arrived the next day and took 10 minutes to install. Hardest part was getting the front panel off (after removing two screws the front panel slides down and then off). Installs very simply and works perfectly. Very pleased with this product.

Excellent replacement battery straight from the manufacturer. Fit perfectly and took my CP1500PFCLCD back to like-new runtime of around 15 minutes at half load. I got about 4 years out of the original batteries. The old ones still worked but only lasted about 30-60 seconds so figured it was time to replace them. I’m happy with the price. Cyberpower seems to have reasonable replacement battery costs compared to other big manufacturers, which is great. Just be sure to check your original battery type before ordering. There are two types for the CP1500PFCLCD. If yours has a wire terminal hanging off the batteries, you need a different “A” type battery. This one is the “B” type with a socket between the batteries. Some of the other reviewers left negative review for this reason so be sure to check yours before you order.

Es muy fácil instalar este reemplazo de la batería de mi ups y funciona como nuevo. Por el momento no se cuanto duren estas baterías pero cuando necesite otro reemplazo actualizo esta reseña, las que venían con mi ups duraron 4 años.
