  • It depends on the output capabilities of the TV. The TV must have a 3.5mm output. Usually these are headphone outputs.

  • Although some game controllers do have 3.5mm audio output, plugging the green source plug into the controller can damage the source plug. If using the speakers this way it is recommended to use an AUX cable and the Aux port on the controller.

  • Yes, as long as the laptop has a 3.5mm audio output.

  • 3.5mm

  • The satellite speakers plug into the back of the subwoofer .

The sound is rich whether listening to people speaking or music. The bass is powerful, the treble very good! These are awesome speakers for such a low price! An A+ for Cyber Acoustics!

My problem is that I am expecting higher volume levels, but otherthan that,I am pleased. If you are looking for an affordable item with decent sound, this is definitely a good set to get.

There's no subwoofer cut off frequency, so voices and mids all come out of the subwoofer. but there's a high cut off for the little speakers, not the worst sounding thing for a cheap computer setup, only reason returning is left speaker doesn't connect properly in the back and cuts out

My issue is the headset plugin, which is why I bought this. The sound is VERY quiet and on max on the dial and MAX on my headset, It's still pretty quiet. Which is really the main reason I bought it, so I could use my headset when gaming with friends and speakers when watching a movie/tv. That's why my rating is so low. Honestly because of that, If I had the patience to refund I probably would, but I guess I'll just unplug the speakers and plugin my headset directly to the pc when switching. A bit disappointing. To put it in perspective, I have the speakers section set to about 50% for loud-enough sound for this room. When I plug in my headset, I have to turn the dial all the way to 100% and my headset to 100% and even then, I'd want another 30% or so.---------------------------------------------------------------EDIT: the bass isn't separate from the treble, so, things start to sound really bad when you turn up the volume. You used to be able to spend 20 bucks and get quality sound with a side of bass. not now. It seems if you want to get any quality speakers with a side of bass, you're looking to spend over $60+---------------------------------------------------------------Speakers/Bass: 1/5 treble is being pumped through the bass, makes it sound horrible when you turn the bass upHeadset Plugin: 0/5 don't buy this just because of the ease of use for the headset like I did, You will just be disappointed. It's not great and probably won't be used by me.. even though that's the WHOLE reason I bought it.

After reading all the bad reviews I thought this thing would be terrible. I bought it anyway because I thought it didn’t make sense what some of the things people were saying. they were very wrong it has tons of bass it can be loud enough to fill most rooms I don’t understand the bad reviews it has a knob on the back that allows you to adjust how much bass and you can go from but no bass way too much bass. I was just running it off my phone and it was loud enough to bug your neighbours. Sure you might not want to use this to DJ parties but it’s great for home use. It’s mind boggling how someone claimed it had no bass. Maybe they didn’t find the knob or received a broken unit. The tweeters are fine. Nothing special but all the basic frequencies are there. It’s a surprisingly good sounding unit for the price. I have much better stereo gear like a 200watt sub woofer and studio monitors so I know what decent bass sounds like and this has decent bass. I bought this for my office. No it’s not a 200watt sub it’s 18watt so you shouldn’t expect to fill clubs. Maybe a small party would be ok.

Pretty darn good speakers for a variety of uses. I'm going to use them to replace the audio on my flat screen tv, since it appears that by law the included speakers have to stink. I'd rather the set was a little thicker and had usable speakers. So far I've yet to have anyone show up to my house and whip out a micrometer to see how thick my tv is. I'm also not interested in firing up a 300-500 watt sound system to watch the news or for my son to watch a kids show.Anyhow, I've looked at a few of these in the same ~$30 price range. This one has very long cables, longer than any other I'd seen, which is a plus if you're going to use them on a big tv. The bass box is small and has the large vent on the side, not the bottom, which many other speaker sets had. I have two places for it, a hard surface and a spot on carpet, so bottom bass port is bad. On many of these there is also no cover or screen on the bottom bass port, just a bare speaker. That's going to get ripped pretty quick if you aren't careful handling it.This also has adjustable bass. Not found on many 2.1's this size/price, and a volume control on a little pod. The pod has a headphone jack and an aux 3.5mm input. Really handy!Sound is very good. I'm not an audiophile but I've tinkered with small 3.5mm/bluetooth speakers that went from $12-100 and this sounds by far the best. Good sparkling highs although you're going to need to lower the bass at full volume level. It starts sounding rough until you drop it to below the halfway point. If you want something to plug your phone/tablet into, replace a bad flat screen tv speaker, or put out great sound-on-the-cheap from your PC, this appears to be the winner. The runner-up was the Creative 2.1 that runs around the same price, $30ish. That has shorter cables, no bass adjust, bass port on the bottom, etc.

See update below...1st review: For the price, it's decent. The volume controller is the number 1 feature that I was looking for so I can manually control the volume of my speakers or headphones. Headphones and/or auxiliary devices (iphone, android, etc.) connect to the volume controller as well (auxiliary cable not included), which is convenient. My only issue seems to be one that others have complained about. There is a constant humming or buzzing sound coming from the subwoofer. The hum is a low sound but I can hear it pretty well. The hum is on from the moment that it is plugged in and switched on (via volume controller), and does not change in volume when the volume of the speakers are changed.UPDATE: A few minutes after writing this review, I realized that I can switch off the subwoofer and speakers via volume control knob BUT still listen and control volume of attached headphones which is AWESOME. I listen via headphones probably 30+ hours a week, and I listen via speakers and subwoofer probably less than a couple hours a week.UPDATE 10/16/2014: I bought another set of these speakers. It seems the hum is not as bad, but still a little noticeable, compared to my first set. I notice that some songs sound better than others with the subwoofer. There are times when I just want to throw away the subwoofer. Then there are times that it's not bad. I wonder at times if I would have rather have paid another $30 to have a better set of speakers. I don't know. I mainly use my headphones so it doesn't bug me too much, I suppose. The two small speakers were great for my use. And, again, the volume control knob is awesome. I use it all day long everyday.UPDATE 12/07/2014: For the most part, I don't use the subwoofer because I am always plugged in with my headphones. The few times that I've listened to music without headphones, I have been unhappy with the subwoofer. It's pretty bad. Even with the knob on the subwoofer turned down almost all the way, it sounds distorted and terrible. I don't know why. It's that way with my other set of the same speakers too, so it's not just this particular one. I guess I get what I paid for, which I think is still fair. I may fork out $75-$100 later on to get some better, name-brand speakers that sound better.
