These are high quality and bright for white glow sticks. They last a long time relative to brightness.

Does last 6 hours in 65 degree temperatures. Stick doesn't produce much light though, better off with the green light sticks.

❤️❤️❤️ these. Ordered in white, one gives light for 14-16 hours. So much safer than oil lamps, candles, cheaper than batteries, easy to carry from room to room. I buy a dozen at a time and keep them handy. Hand them out to neighbors, family...

I’m a semi “prepper” and like to have multiple options when it comes being prepared for emergencies. When it comes to survival essentials I believe in maintaining a minimum of 30+ days worth of water, 30 days of 25 year shelf life food for 3, medical supplies, multiple water purification devices, waste sanitation disposal, multiple solar panels, plenty of high mAh power banks, generator, gas, etc, etc, and multiple ways to have light. These glow sticks are part of the multiple options for creating light. I’ve always keep a couple of boxes of chem lights for the “just in case” situations. Every few years I buy new ones to replace the older ones. Even after a few years they still work great and they are given to kids as trick or treating prizes. Always a crowd pleaser and their parents appreciate the lighting for extra night safety. Some complain that they don’t stay bright enough after a few hours. From my experience, military and civilian LE, there’s no glow sticks in the market that stays consistently bright for the whole duration. The ones rated at 6 hours are usually the brightest but, they run out quickly because of the type of chemical reaction to create more light. If you’re in complete darkness any light is better than no light so pick your poison.

It was nice to have them and I tried one in a closet. it took a lot of shaking to get it to full intensity but I was disappointed by the amount of light it provided. It would work as a marker in the dark but not to light a room/ If I were hiding from a tornado in my closet it would provide some light as a comfort but a lantern or flashlight would be better.

These came in very handy when our power went out due to the unexpected freeze this spring and this is hurricane territory so they're an essential part of emergency supply. Also fun for Hallowe'en and so on. Bright and long lasting (more than 12 hours, although not very bright after 8 hours).

These provide much needed white light when needed.Purchase these for bug out bags and emergency light sources in the glove compartments of my vehicles. These work well beyond the specified hour rating, but diminish in brightness over time.Overall they work fine. These are not IR light sticks and one of the stars to tick off for the rating was night vision. My understanding of night vision is that these won’t work. They are visible white light.

There really is no replacement for Cyalume chem/glow sticks. Many other glow sticks work well, but don't have the brightness or the longevity of this brand. In context to other Cyalume glow sticks, these are not as bright as the green ones, but serves it's purpose well. I normally use green for general use (camping, backpacking, power outages, etc) and white more natural light. That being said, white does not seem as bright as the green color, green being the brightest of all available colors. Still, I would highly recommend this brand over any other.
