I’m relatively new to the world of spinning. It’s definitely a rabbit hole I’ve gone down and I absolutely love it! This is my third drop spindle I’ve purchased and probably my new favorite. One of the lovely ladies at my local yarn shop who taught me to drop spin had a Turkish spindle she was spinning lama and silk on. And I thought the design of the spindle was so beautiful. And I LOVE how you wind the yarn on it. Makes it so you can pull from both ends to ply it with the one thread. Anyway, I got a cheap one to try out and then this one. I can spin just fine on either, but this one spins so nice, like butter. Love the weight of it too. And I like that when it’s not in use and there is no yarn on it, you can break it down to be stored. No worries about it falling and bending a hook like other drop spindles. This is a must have for your Collection.

I like the smooth finish and solid fit of the spindle's components. It can be used as a supported or a drop spindle - your choice. I find its size to be comfortable in my hands.

I have been spinning for years & I own many different kinds of spindles, including Turkish spindles. This one WAY exceeded my expectations. It’s as nice, if not nicer than my spindles 2x the price. I ordered a second one to have on hand. This is one of the gems of an Amazon find. Do not hesitate buying this guy. Spins like a dream & is so beautiful. Unfortunately I didn’t weigh it before spinning but I am able to spin lace weight and up with ease.

A lovely and nicely made spindle. The wood is beautiful. It's a great size to put in your bag to spin on the go. It is light enough to spin fine laceweight. The pointed bottom also allows me to use it as a supported spindle in a little bowl while i lounge around. I intend to buy another.

This spindle is easy to use, and I really do love it, but the shipping took far too long and the tracking was never updated. I will purchase more Turkish spindles, just not from this source. If you are patient and happy to wait, this is a great deal.
