I put the tools that I’m going to use for a project into a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket, and then I put this seat on the bucket as the seat/lid for the bucket. Then, I carry the bucket around my home or around my yard, and then I can take out whatever tools are necessary, put the seat/lid back on, and then comfortably sit on the bucket while I’m working.I got this for my dad, and he told me it was his favorite of all “tools“ which I have ever purchased for him, including very expensive socket sets, wrench sets, electric power tools, and other expensive tools.Simple and so very practical!!!!A must have!!!

I use this lid for throwing Batting Practice to a Little League team. Even though this one doesn't have padding, it's quite comfortable, and should last longer.This lid is also great to use for keeping rain out of the bucket and water-logging all of your baseballs. Being plastic, and having the channels in the top, means the water flows away and there's no padding for water to soak into. If it looks dry, it is dry, and you can sit on it without fear.

I work a lot sitting on a 5 gallon bucket doing brake jobs. This was a great addition! It is much, much more comfortable. It is made of sturdy blow molded plastic, and it easily handles my 300 lbs.

Top notch all the rest of them are uncomfortable. This one is not, and it’s very reasonably priced. Add yourself a piece of yoga mat foam maybe even double it and put a an elastic bar chair cover on it, I chose white, so it stay cool and you got yourself a jam up fishing bucket seat on a 5 gallon bucket I like it it doesn’t snap on her snap off it fits snugly and you don’t have to try to get your fingers around the top and try to pull it off. it comes off more easily. I use a little bungee if it’s super windy out to keep it from flying off, but I don’t really think it will fly off perfect.

I've owned five different five gal. bucket seats. Two were padded (but flat) and not comfortable. Three were hard (no padding like this seat) with various curved shapes for the seat. This seat/lid is the most comfortable of the five seats for my body type (6' 185lbs). It just has a great seat shape. I also like the way it fits into the bucket (as a lid). It is much easier to take on and off than all the others (and I'm constantly taking it off and putting it on to access the stuff I'm carrying in the bucket. The other lids snapped on top of the bucket as a lid and were much more difficult to snap off, access my tools inside, and put the seat back on. The only downside of the ease of putting on and taking off this seat is that since it doesn't snap on, it will fall off if the bucket gets tipped over.

Keeps most the weather out of the bucket, but not sealed (of course). And gives me a place to sit my seat.

This is a "GREAT" produce even though I gave it only 4 stars because Canadian buyers must be aware that since it is a USA made produce it is designed to fit on the US 3.5 and 5.0 gallon buckets that have a ID lip opening of 11.25" , where as up here we have Imperial 3.5 and 5.0 gallon buckets with an ID lip opening of 11.50"s so it fits very loose . There is an easy fix , just add about a 1/2 " x 2" , 6 layer built up tape strips of duck tape etc. from the bottom of the edge of the seat over to the bottom part of the seat right down the middle of each of it's 4 molded contact points . Then it fits real nice and you will like it allot !!!

Works well on top of the orange home depot buckets, is not a tight fit as other posters have said, but that makes it easier to lift and get into the bucket when I need things. It stays put and is not a lounge chair but comfy enough for short bouts of gardening and also just nice to have next to me when on my knees to give me a boost up when I need to get to my feet. I was concerned about the reviews when I bought it, but am glad I did. I get a lot of use out of it.... another good thing is the seat has grooves so when it rains the water just runs off (and doesn't get into your bucket). I've had it for a while now and am still very pleased with the purchase.
