The instructions to prepare the keg for spirits was very easy to follow. Very happy and are having a difficult time waiting to give it as a gift.

We had an issue at first, but the seller was easy to work with via chat and worked with us to get us a replacement. We could not be happier with how everything turned out. We would buy from them again!

Bought this barrel for 70, 25 dollar bottle of vodka, it leaked from the spigot. Seller said they would send new spigot, 6 weeks later No spigot so I decided to send it back. Another 20 bucks… still nothing. I have another barrel that is working awesome. Buy the barrel, just not from this company

Purchased this for the 'custom' personalization option to make it a memorable gift for a close friend.I have been barrel aging cocktails for years and fully accept the fact that barrels can leak. Preparation and monitoring is extremely important to minimize any leakage of your favorite spirits.My experience barrel aging Negronis with this product was:1. After extensive preparation, it leaks. Nothing could make this thing seal.2. Leaks through the custom inscription as well as the front and bottom of the barrel. See pictures. Avoid this option.3. Had to purchase additional spirits to replenish the constant loss of liquid.4. The spigot looks fragile, and I am afraid to use it. I hope that is not a bad experience at my friends birthday party.Yes, this has been a costly endeavor for me. $$$$Prayed and crossed fingers the barrel would seal over the 6-8 week aging cycle. It did not. Now I am just trying to get to the finish line (friends birthday party) to drink whatever is left, and not have to keep replenishing liquids.My summary and recommendations:1. The aesthetic of this product is not as good as shown in the pictures. It looks average and low cost. Just my perception compared to other barrels I have used in the past. Spigot is questionable until used. The inscription feature should be avoided.2. If you are looking to buy a barrel, search for a local or online home wine making supply store or distributor. The price is typically $25 - $50 more; however, quality of the barrels are excellent. Thicker wood and in my experience - they rarely leaked. If they did, they sealed themselves in a short timeframe.Will update my review after my friends birthday party. It will be interesting what the end result - TASTE will be!Hope this helps fellow barrel aging fans! Long live the barrel!

This is a great product, it looks fantastic, and is a fun way to make your very own barrel aged cocktails. We have made a batch of Old Fashioned with high-proof Rye and Buttermilk No. 1; and a Negroni with Barr Hill Gin, Campari and Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth. They were fantastic and were a hit around Thanksgiving. Next up, in time for Christmas, will be a classic Manhattan with high-proof Rye, Carpano Antica Formula (the absolute best sweet vermouth, maybe I should give them a review), and Angostura bitters. Have fun!!

My husband loved this but unfortunately it leaks. We followed the instructions twice and it still leaks!!!! My husband wasn't too happy about this... so sad it leaks because we were excited to use this... as of now its a waste of money! We informed the Company but we haven't heard back.Update - when I first got this, we were unhappy how it would leak but the owner reached out to me and was able to fix this. He mailed over a leverage and this solved the issue. My husband is now enjoying this product! It also looks great on our bar area! Thank you!
