Followed all instructions to a T. Less than a year in and this crap is shrinking, splitting and cracking. It’s defective. Customer service said it’s only a defective product if it’s shrinking in more than one place. I sent 4 photos of different places all over the truck. Then they said it was my fault. Don’t waste your money or time. Now I’m out money and have to still buy a different kit to fix this paint job.

First off, Thank you so much to Andrew does life, YouTube channel for the inspiration and tutorials on f-150 upgrading!!Taking the tape off of my truck after spraying was like a kid on Christmas with a new favorite toy!Follow the proper prepping and tape off everything and triple check gaps. Lacquer thinner will remove any over spray if it does happen. The mixing is simple, easy to follow steps, anyone can do it. The spray guns are meh, but get the job done. The triggers are the meh part, they rest on a pin that activates the air intake and the trigger slips off the pin often. You have to find the sweet spot to stay consistent.Do some practice sprays on a scrap piece of anything to get an idea of the spray fan and consistency of the mixture, it also primes your line for the spray. Do that each time you change bottles so the line stays primed.I was not frugal by any means on my spraying, kept an even spray length and hand speed moving side to side, I did two solid coats, and then a finish coat with more distance between the gun and truck to even out any noticeable lines (very minimal). I only went through 5.5 bottles. I was under the impression I would need 8 or more. A 6 bottle kit would have been plenty. ( 2008 f-150)I haven’t road tested yet since it’s still curing currently , but I’ve not seen any areas where peeling or non-adhesion could occur.***Be sure to sand your surface first!*** If it’s the entire vehicle, then It has to be the entire vehicle. Blow off all the dust before spraying.I did dial the pressure gauge (55-60 psi recommended) using my tank regulator, and opened the valve of the pressure regulator on the gun wide open to get the pressure I wanted. I went a little higher (65psi) and got the pattern I wanted.Over all, I am so pleased! If you are doing od green ….. check the federal color code on the kits and match them. I noticed there are two color codes when ordering and luckily I caught it before confirming. This has been the best choice I’ve made for my truck and absolutely love it. I walk by my carport and just stare at my truck like some weirdo about every 20 minutes right now haha. Follow the steps and your project will look just like the picture on the box! 10/10 from me!

Absolute garbage. The included gun does not fit the metal cans. The threads on the gun are much smaller. The 28oz bottle of hardener is missing. I only have 2- 7oz cans. Enough for 2 quarts.

Custom coat is top notch ! Goes on great ,looks great ! A bottle didn’t last as long as I thought it would but I have no complaints !!I sprayed my whole 85 Toyota pick up in olive drab with 5 bottlesOne tip that I really focused on is prep prep prep . Get a good clean surface sanded with 120 whipe down with degreaser , an used adhesive promoter ! Excellent results ! Thanks
