Bought a brand new trailer and the hitch sucked so I cut it off and put one of these on

This needed to be welded on the trailer. But it has a lower profile than a conventional hitch so it fits under the box on the back of the RV. The lock is easier to set.

This hitch is extremely strong and never comes off the trailer ball unless you release itI’m a fan of the bulldog style hitches anyway but curt always seems to be way better quality for the money than the other brands

No complaints.. I welded and bolted for added security.. the mechanism works way better and it has worked just fine for a 10k trailer over and over now..

Very high load rating and works well. Slightly different size A frame from the repelacement but I made it work. Way better than hammering the old hitch open and closed. Instersted to see how well it withstands the deicer and salt used in Oregon.

Also includes a pin to prevent collar from sliding, a nice touch.

This a heavy duty cast iron product, but No where in the item information does it say what size ball. I just firgured it was 2-inches, WRONG. It's eather a 2-3/8" or 2-5/16-inch ball. The trailer hitch jumped off the 2-inch ball, bent and ruined the tongue jack, luckily our safety chains were on, and we wern't halling a car. The trailer was empty.
