I took a chance on this piece to see if it would fit on my harbor freight hitch to replace the old worn out piece. Sure enough almost everything fit perfect. You will have to clearance the lower bolt hole on the bracket somewhat. I was able to clearance it with a round file for the bolt to pass through. This piece actually fits better on the piece that goes into the reciever than the harbor freight piece itself. Saved myself a few bucks. Hopefully this lasts just as long or longer than the HF piece.

This hitch is well made and strong. I recommend the CURT 30,000 lb. 2 5/16" ball with this. When it comes to towing something down the freeway, it is better to have more hitch than you need, as opposed to an under rated hitch that can fail and kill someone.

Simple installation, was used to replace older hitch which torsion bars wore out (made round holes oval to the point bars wouldn't remain in hole). This hitch has zerk fittings for lubrication and so may allow torsion bars to not be as damaging to hitch, we'll see. Very pleased with purchase so far!
