This is a must-have for every laundry room. Before I bought it, there was always no place to put hangers in my laundry room. After installation, I placed all the empty hangers on this extendable pole to make the laundry room cleaner and more organized. I hung 15 empty hangers, but there is still much space. When I take the clothes out of the dryer, I can easily hang them on this pole, which is very convenient and practical. The expandable design is also very clever, saving space and not hindering passage from the side. It provides two installation methods: strong bonding and screw fixation. I chose the latter and fixed it on the wall next to the washing machine with screws. It looks very stylish and sturdy, just like the product picture.

This hanging rack looks great--it's sleek and has a low profile. However, I'm not confident that I would trust its ability to stay on the wall with any more than the equivalent 6 loaded hangers, especially in its fully extended mode. The screws and anchors it came with are quite flimsy, so I replaced them with hardware that is a little more robust. Even then, the design isn't conducive to load bearing. If you're planning to use this to hang relatively light items, you won't be disappointed--but if, like me, you're looking for something that can withstand the weight of a laundry cycle's worth of shirts, pants or dresses then you may want to consider something a little more heavy duty in build.

I got this expandable rod because I am forever pulling clothes out of the dryer and I have nowhere to hang them before I put them in the closet. This is very easy to install and mount on your wall and I love that it’s retractable so it doesn’t stick out and bang your shoulder whenever you walk through the room. it’s pretty strong. I put a whole stack of clothes on hangers and hung it from there and it didn’t pull out of the wall or anything but it does make folding and hanging your clothes a whole lot more convenient!
