I’ve had this for about a month now, and I’m in love with it! I’ve wanted a rice cooker for a while and decided to get this one because I’ve heard good things about the brand AND because it looks nice and clean on my countertop. The 6-cup volume is more than enough for my family, and my rice turns out perfect every time, even when I only make 1-2 cups at a time. The only thing that I have to be mindful of when using this is putting my hand over the lid when I press the button to open it because the springs swing the entire machine backwards… they’re too powerful 😅

Supplements our Zojirushi as it's different with the sticky setting, adding a quick mode (priceless), and multiple others like gaba rice which I've yet to discern. It's a different style of cooking and worth the complimenting. Also its pan is far easier to procure when needing replacement.

I’ve been using this rice cooker for a year now, and it’s been awesome! I love the white, clean, simple design of this Cuckoo model. At first, I bought a 3-cup rice cooker, but I realized it couldn’t cook porridge, so I ended up returning it. This 6-cup model has more menu options, and most importantly, it can make porridge! The rice always turns out great, and I’ve never had an issue with rice burning. Definitely a solid choice!

I take it with me when I travel for work, and it is perfect for making meals in one go. The rice comes out perfectly every time, and it is extremely easy to clean and maintain.

I looks absolutely great compared to my old and trusty zojirushi, and the pot feels a lot sturdier, though there is major design flaw. My old Zojirushi was a 3 cup model, compared to the 6 cup capacity of this one, so I am not sure if that is a fair comparison. Maybe Zojirushi's higher capacity models also have sturdier pots. The downside of this model is the controls. They are not pleasant to use at all. Often, in fact almost always, I must press buttons several times before anything happens at all. Trying to cancel something, or to turnoff the keep warm setting can be frustrating when the buttons wont respond. Another downside is the markings inside the pot. Unless you are in an extremely well lit area, the measuring indications inside the pot are very difficult to read. Unlike the zojirushe, they are just raised stampings, and do not have a contrasting color. Having to use the flashlight on my phone to see how much water to pour in is frustrating. If you are using the rice cooker in a sufficiently lit area, this might be a non-issue, or at least a smaller issue. I also miss the little tune my that Zojirushi rice cookers plays when the rice is done. The rice comes out fine.

The price is high, the quality is poor, and it broke after just six months of use. Even though it's within the warranty period, customer service won't take care of it.

I’m really enjoying this Cuckoo rice cooker. Unlike my previous one, the Cuckoo looks great on my countertop and isn’t an eyesore. It can cook up to 6 cups of rice and offers multiple cooking functions, it’s great for family of 5. I primarily use it for rice, and it has been performing excellently, cooking it perfectly and quickly. I also love the auto-clean feature that uses steam to clean the inside. The only thing I wish it had is a slot to hold the rice spatula, but that’s not a deal breaker.

I love this thing and use it almost every day. I’m neurospicy and I get overwhelmed with all of the cooking and sanitation steps with cooktop cooking, but I LOVE sauces and pastas. This cooker has reduced my cooking anxiety SO MUCH! And it has also been easy to shift to cooking sauces with this- I can still cook the meat first, add sauce and simmer for a while, and either add pasta and rice right in the cooker to finish the meal, or cook them aside and combine at plating. It’s really easy to clean as well, and there’s even a small water reservoir that catches the steam drips off of the lid. So you just dump that water, clean the lid and top, and wash the rice pot. Done. Easy!Oh! And the rice quality is great in my white-lady opinion. If you choose “sticky rice” it will come out sticky, etc.Note! The steam vent lets out a fair bit of water vapor, so use this on an open countertop and not beneath an overhead cabinet.

After a few years of using a low- budget rice cooker with consistently frustrating results, I decided to splurge on a higher quality cooker with the ability to cook most other kinds of grains as well. This attractive cooker is meeting and exceeding my expectations. So far, both white and brown rices have been cooked to perfection. The cooker's menu is easy to follow. I found it to be intuitive. The instruction manual is translated from Korean, but is not hard to follow given the illustrations and associated text.Buyers should know that the recommended portion sizes are quite large, but with the extra left I put together a nice fried rice recipe for me and my husband.I would recommend this rice cooker for others!

I’m Taiwanese and grew up with rice cookers. This one is modern, simple but having used it once I noticed a few things. First off, it does the job fine. Rice comes out fine. But there is room for improvement. The price is great because I got in on sale. The first thing I noticed was that the buttons aren’t very responsive. You have to press them a few times for the machine to register the action you want to occur. Secondly, when you open the rice cooker, the top is so heavy is caused the machine to jumps back and make a loud sound when it comes back to its resting position. Rice cooks quickly and I felt like I needed a bit more water than the 1:1 with American organic long grain rice. It’s compact,Light with a sleek design.
