Waffle iron works very well, even though it didn't seem to take a couple of sessions to break it in before it worked perfectly. After that it has worked perfectly, and we like the size and shape of the waffles too. The non stick surface seems to work perfectly, though we use butter rather than cooking oil spray to prep in order to get a browner and crisper waffle. The only quibble I have is that while there is a handle on the top part of the unit with which to pull up the waffle when it is ready, there is no corresponding handle on the bottom half. This means that if you have a slightly stubborn waffle, it is hard to open the the iron to get it out as there is nothing to grab onto on the bottom portion, and since the unit is hot, it can make it tough work to open the thing. Mind you, this only happens when we are making thinner, Swedish-style, waffles. . . and only on occassion. That said you might not encounter the problem.

I love having a waffle maker again. These are a great solution for a family because they easily break into heart shaped segments. Perfect for sharing if a whole waffle is too much for your kids. The only thing is that it can be difficult to get the entire waffle out in one piece. It typically breaks into segments before you get it onto the plate. I also adore that there is barely any cleaning required! I have never had to scrub this, just a gentle and quick wipe down.

There have been several reviews which gave a low rating to this product. Some complained about the apparent loose hinges with the upper griddle plate. That is intentional since waffles expand and need some place to go, otherwise they'd squeeze out along the edge and burn. BTW there is no audible beep on this product; just let the green "ON" indicator cycle once or twice and the plates are up to temperature. There is a thermostat that regulates the temperature (I found that setting the dial in the 2:00 position worked right for me).I've tried several recipes and found some good and some bad but none took longer than 3 minutes to come out evenly done.I bought this item based on my experience with the Cucina krumkake product and I haven't been disappointed with either one.

So it doesn't break down at all so cleaning is average obviously you can't use anything metal or abrasive or you will ruin the not sick coating in short order I'm sure. Does exactly what it's supposed to do and the hearts are kinda cute.

This wafflemaker works exactly as advertised. Waffles come out easily when done. All it takes a spritz oil of your choice. I DO NOT recommend Pam as it burns on and is impossible to clean off. I usually use a spray bottle of avocado oil. That done, it is very easy to clean. I just take a paper towel and wipe the plates. Soft cloth to wipe the outside, use the handy little plastic cord winder and store it upright in my pantry.

I like the look of this small doesn’t take up a lot of space on the counter or in cabinet after using it I found it heats up quickly, waffles come out clean, I am glad I got it. I do find I have to use the darkest/ highest setting to get the crunchy texture I like on my waffle. Other then that it’s great.

Super easy to use, included a couple of waffle recipes (nice touch), and heated up very quickly. I don't love how thin the waffles are, but they cooked evenly so I'm happy overall.

I absolutely love my heart waffle maker and enjoy making these for my family. Just another way to say I love you. It’s super easy to clean, cooks them evenly. The only thing I do not like about this one in particular, is that it does not beep when finished like my old one did. But I can handle that.

The original CucinaPro waffle maker (with the handle) was built well and worked great. The heart shape was so cute and a nice change from the circle design. However, it died on me after 8 months of use. The company sent a replacement that was much lighter and felt cheaply made. They took away the beeping function (which was annoying when I first had it but I grew accustomed to it and actually came to count on the beeping). The old machine had the waffle at perfectly crispness for us at level 4 out of 6. The new one couldn’t cook the batter at the maximum setting: the batter was pale and raw. I had tried keeping the waffle in the machine 4 minutes pass the maximum “done” setting and while the waffle will look brown/done on the outside, the batter is not done inside and it was limp, not crispy. A complete disappointment even when the replacement was technically “free.” Not worth it for the money to have only lasted 8 months. I’ll stick with the Cuisinart waffle maker from now on.

Ehhhh, it's not my favourite waffle maker. It's cute, but the mold is very shallow, so the waffles are REALLY thin and you don't really get those waffle divets that makes it, well, a waffle . I also found a bit of inconsistency in it cooking the waffles because there's no clamp or anything holding it down so if the waffle rises as it cooks, the top just kind of...... Sits on it? Honestly I ended up just buying another waffle maker, and just use this on the days my 4 year old wants them and I can make a quick small amount of batter for one waffle.

I don't know if I just was unlucky because nobody else reported issues. What I received in the mail was literally a piece of junk. The first thing I noticed was that the top and bottom were barely holding together. It was very wobbly and loose. I was hoping to spot a screw I could tighten for a quick fix, but didn't see anything. Instead, as I looked more carefully I saw that at the back the loose plates resulted in a gap with wires showing, which I figured couldn't be good. I might have just chalked it up as me being picky, except then I noticed that while the instructions said to latch it, there was no latch. Instead, there was a spot that looked like something had been sheared off. I took a flip through the instruction manual and while it stated to put batter on "according to the recipes" and stated "instruction and recipes" on the front, there were no included recipes, so even if everything else was fine I would've had to use trial and error to figure out how much batter to use. In addition, I noted that halfway through the manual it stopped referring to 'waffles' and was talking instead about 'donuts', along with more spelling and grammatical errors. For an $80 regular price, you'd think that they could provide proper instructions? To add insult to injury, since it's only fulfilled by Amazon, I can't exchange it, I have to return it and buy a new one. At this rate though, I really don't know if I want to roll the dice again.Overall a huge disappointment, I was really looking forward to thin waffles like I had in Europe!
