Specifically purchased this tool to remove the tight-access 5/16" fuel line fittings found in many Ford applications. There is minimal clearance to insert most disconnect tools and the specified Genuine Rotunda ESST (Essential Special Service Tool) #310-250 was lost and no replacement was available in quick fashion. Other "scissors-type" metal low-profile disconnect tools reported to work for the tight fit 5/16" or 3/8" fuel line quick-connect fittings still proved to be too bulky to fit into place and simply would not work. Purchased this economical tool that was readily available and it did the trick. Because of the flexibility of the plastic material it accomodated a little flexing to fit into place, one 1/2 at a time... and just like that the fuel line fitting disconnected! It did not require excessive force and the tool was not deformed in squeezing into place. Litterally could not have done the job without this disconnect tool. So far have used is multiple times in the Ford 5/16" fuel line size only and not the 3/8" size application.

Used once and one of the tips broke off. Made of soft plastic and deformed immediately. Not wasting my money on one like it again.
