I bought for the looks. Reviews were mixed. We've had it in our kitchen about 3 months now. It works great so I'll give some of my positive and the midly negative notes. Positive: looks great! Red and retro, love it. Radio tuner is pretty accurate. The CD player and Bluetooth also work great. CD's are locked in tight so there is no wobble. It's on 16-18 hours per day. Negative: it could be louder, it's plenty loud - but I'm a 70's kid ((YKYK)). The on/off button can be finicky, I have to press harder to turn off sometimes. The company had a nice note offering support if I need it, haven't needed it!

It is a lot more adorable in person, the sound is good, it is easy to operate (just have to remember to turn it on first🤫)🤗We got it for an older couple that was missing their music, they now often enjoy their CD’s.It is a great little radio 🤗

Had to return the first one as the CD player did not work. Return procedure extremely customer friendly and easy. Current radio works well. Still have not figured how to set the alarm for the radio, but rest assure the beep alarm will wake you up. Love the appearance of the radio. Not sure what the lock feature is, so I'll have to check the manual on that. Dial on radio may be a little off but I can find my stations with little difficulty. Would buy again.

Like you, I thought it was kindof cool and would do the job, and I guess, in a way, it would, if it was easier to work.As a kitchen radio, yes! It would be fine, super even. I could definitely see it at camp, on a table in the summer or in the cabin. But on the bedside table its very hard to work with as an alarm clock, as almost anything aside from whatever setting its on.If you are willing to set it up under a lamp and once its set, just leave it; than you'll be ok, but its very hard to read any of the controls of programming buttons! Did I say "hard"? I meant, "next to impossible"!!As long as you're ok with not being able to read any of the controls, make any changes or adjustments when you go to bed or wake up, than perhaps this if for you. You can hit the snooze, the volume and the dial, but that's about it.Edited after 4 months: Although I hardly used it, the CD player did work, as I played a 3-4 cds, so I know how to operate it. So I got out more cds and thought I'd start listening to some of my old cds. No such luck. As of mid december, less then 4 months in, the CD player no longer spins. Change the mode to CD, load, but it never jogs fwd, the CD never even spin-loads, when most cd's just spin for 10 seconds as the reader reads the info, than it pauses and waits for the first command. No CD will load, I've tried a lot. Very bummed, as a bedside raidio, (or whatever) I needed it to play cds!!!!!With the dial, you can't load presets, and the alarm is not great either, so all in all, its not a good buy.In fact, this is not the first time. So I think that moving forward, I'll be avoiding all Crosley products. They are smartly designed to be attractive to the eye, but the build quality is just not what it should be. 75 years ago they made better radios, so if this is progress, I don't need it.

I just love my little Crosley radio/CD player. It was a Christmas gift from my hubby, I was delighted to receive it! My Dad had a Crosley radio when I was a child. This one reminds me of that one. I got the white colour and keep it on the top of my roll top desk in my craft room. The sound is amazing! I put a CD on while I’m working and can hear it all over the upstairs, the sound is not distorted at all. The radio is easy to tune. The only thing I noticed to be careful of, is that I have to push the buttons quite firmly, so I’m careful not press them too hard and send the Crosley backwards off the top of my desk!I believe it was good value for my money and I’m very proud to show this off to friends and family who all really like it.

I would have rated it with a ZERO STAR if I could. My Dad has early stages of dementia. He recently was placed in a nursing home in Georgia. I have this for him because music really helps him. It was advertised as easy for seniors to use. All I heard from him was how he must be a real dummy because he couldn't figure out how to use it. That was heartbreaking! I finally got out there to visit him. First off, the buttons are super small and hard to read. Second the CD would stop spinning. I trusted on the radio to work specially because there would be no way for him to return it! Since I bought it in May & didn't figure out it didn't really work until this last weekend, it cannot be returned. Now I have to spend more $ to get something else. This time I am going to a brick & mortar store so I can see it for myself. And prevent him from all the frustration. The whole experience was terrible. I wasted my money that could have been used to see him sooner & it caused him so much mental anguish he REALLY shouldn't have had! It's awful how company's are able to mislead people & get away with it!

I priced this item for months as it fluctuated between $200 and $100. I snagged one for $116 new which I think reasonable. I did not expect delivery until the new year, but it arrived yesterday, well ahead of schedule. It has a good sound. The retro style and color add a nostalgic 1950s accent to my kitchen. Nice radio. As always, just shop around for the best price.

Ordered this radio last Monday, received it on Friday, very good service. It quit working on Sunday! When I opened it it seemed like it had probably been used before, cords didn't look like they were factory tied. Worked ok for a little while now radio is the only thing that works. The light to show time & what mode it is in is not even working. Cd player looks like it is whirring then stops. Now I have to go to the trouble of returning it to Amazon. Very flimsy plastic. Very poor choice on my part.UPDATE: Since writing this review I have learned someone who was trying to turn on cd player on radio kept pushing the buttons repeatedly without giving the unit time to adjust so it seems like it froze. After unplugging it & letting it sit overnight it is working fine. Has nice sound, cd player is nice too. Really like the look. Plastic is thin but for the price it is a pretty nice radio.

My dad had a radio repair shop in the 50's and 60's and I grew up surrounded by radios of various vintages. This radio brings back many memories of the plastic and bakelite super-hets that I played around with back then. This modern take on that sort of radio works great (better than the originals actually - very few radios had FM back then mainly because there were very few FM stations!) The closed cabinet and ported speaker design sounds very good with a very satisfying bass response. The lighted dial is a nice authentic touch which is lacking on most reproduction radios. However, my one complaint is that the dial is lighted by a super white-bright LED which is NOT very authentic. It would be better to have a dimmer, yellow coloured light.
