Your cart is empty.The Crime Scene magnetic applicator is used with magnetic powders. It's powerful magnet holds a large amount of magnetic powder. The spring-loaded handle moves the internal magnet forward, which causes the powder to be attracted to the applicator. To release the powder, pull on the handle. The Crime Scene applicator is 5 1⁄2" long.

The magnetic tip was broken upon arrival. These appear to be very cheap. I bought them for training high school students and have little confidence the others are going to hold up.

I ended returning this item because it did not seem to work like it’s intended. I gave it three stars because I was able to get what I needed done but the quality of my fingerprint dusting was not great. This device allows large amounts of magnetic dust to fall which caused dark spots of concentrated magnetic powder.

The tip is about the size of a dime. The magnet picks up quite a bit of powder and is not as precise as other wands.

At NCIS they showed me the magnetic applicator and I can never go back to the traditional brush now. This one works great!
