The square is just what I wanted. I have a complaint to the manufacturer about the sticker on the square. I had difficulty removing the sticker and it damaged some of the painted scale but it is still very useable.

I got it as a gift for my brother, he loves tools and it has helped him out and he has used everyday for his job. his favorite thing to do with it, other than using for work, he to show it to his coworkers and and say "look! it's extendable!". it works as it should!

This is a well-made square. I bought it because of the flip-up extension. Numbers and tick marks standout for easy reading. The flip-up extension has a snug fit at the hinge so when is flipped up, it is in-line with the base leg.

We’ll build and sturdy but The lack of imagination to out the label on the backside which is blank leads to the first 15 minutes of ownership being wasted getting a crappy label off the front.

Has all the common features a standard square has. I love the fold out extension for when you're marking larger materials or even transferring a line. Good price and quality to be expected from the brand. Magnet keeps the fold out piece secure while it's not being used. Also doesn't seem to be any heavier than a standard square either.

I love this square and use it daily now. The flip-out mechanism is a little stiff, but better than having it flop out and get damaged when you don't want it to. It's easy to read and use, and works exactly like a square should. Overall I'm very happy with it.My one wish list item would be a small bubble level. Half the time I carry my torpedo it's only to level walls or fence posts, and a bubble level in my square would be more than accurate enough for that work. For whatever reason, this trend hasn't hit lower-prices squares. You have to spend $100 to get that, which is crazy for an add-on that probably costs a dollar for the part. And most of those squares don't have the extension, which I really like for stair and rafter layouts. I obviously chose "better but inexpensive square, separate torpedo level" for my bags but it would be nice to have the option here.

This tool simply rocks. It is really well build and hefty - perhaps a little too much as it makes it definitely heavier than most. But, that means it will last. Etchings are laser engraved even though it's hard to tell as I think the etchings are painted over to make it more visible. So expect the paint to eventually wear off, leaving just the etchings, which I hope will be visible enough.The extension is superb and obviously the higlight of this tool. It is sturdy and clips into place. Easy to take out. The hinge appears to be a rod hammered in. Don't think it will come out anytime soon - but only time will tell. It's a bit stiff, and not loose, which is great, but maybe tad too stiff. Perhaps a little bit of lubricant in the joint would help.My only gripe is that a metric version existed. Of course angles are angles, so that is universal. But the actual distance measurement is only in imperial - great for North Americans - and sucks for...well basically rest of the world.Great product - you will love it
