I’m a potter and loved the size of these sponges. They are small but bigger than normal throwing sponges which I loved for small cleanup. Cutting them in half made for a great throwing sponge.I ordered these for a second time and got a completely different sponge. They are not 3 1/2 inches as advertised and are cut with sharp edges instead of a nice round edge.Photos show the size as well as a side by side of a sponge from the first time I ordered. Huge difference! Disappointed.

Ran out of the sponges I hoarded in the nineties while a studio worker. Used to find clay one student sponges in the slip buckets at the end of the year and kept most of them.Decided to try these and the texture is very similar to the old Amaco sponges. Only problem is the size, much larger than I’m used to. Not a deal breaker, they work well for glazing and throwing.Plenty to cut some down a bit.Pictured is my last old sponge next to a new one.

These are my third attempt in looking for the right sponge to use while on my potter's wheel, and they are just what I have been looking for!!They're a little larger than what I've been receiving and built just the right way. I'm no fan of those smaller yellow foam like sponges I've been seeing, those loose they're mass during a long throwing time. Meaning they squish down loaded with debris, these do not. :-)

I ordered the sponges for a community pottery studio. They are well priced and durable. I will order them again. Tamera

I purchased these sponges as I needed a soft, absorbent sponge approximately 3" round for a painting party.. a painting with paws party to be specific. Dollar store tempura paint and canvases, a drop cloth, plates of paint with these sponges - and art was made. The sponges were pretty much perfect for my needs. They picked up the right amount of paint, but didn't sink through the other side getting our hands painted, with a soft squish (though firm enough to 'paint the paw pads' with an even distribution of paint, and cleaned up quickly and easily to store for the next time.Would recommend for craft use - especially Paw Painting Parties.

A little bigger than I imagined but still work well with stencils. I cut mine into smaller pieces. Will make them last longer too.
