I had an opportunity to use this Creative Grids Ultimate Flying Geese/HST tool while taking a beginning Quilting class at the Aloha Sewing and Vacuume Center in yesterday’s Sawtooth Star class and decided to purchase one. My teacher, Heidi was right, it’s measurement and trimming functions are indespensible. Thank you all that encouraged me, and made it possible to add this tool to my quilting supplies.

I love Creative grids this is a very well made ruler and it serves lots of purposes I have it to use for trimming flying geese and I use it all the time it's probably my fourth most used ruler. I recommend it highly!

I just started a new quilt with lots of flying geese. I've done them before, but in small quantities. They have always been a source of irritation to get them right. This Creative Grids tool and the way of doing 4 at a time has saved my sanity. It truly creates the perfect flying geese and is very easy to use. What a game changer! If you make flying geese in a quilt, this will make it enjoyable!

My flying geese are PERFECT now!I just took my quilt into the long arm quilter and she was looking at my flying geese she talked about how perfect they were! I was so excited to hear this as this was about my 8-9th quilt to make, she said she couldn’t believe it said she’s been quilting for 3-4 years and her flying geese didn’t look that good! So I was just ecstatic!

Great ruler for making multiple sizes of flying geese blocks. Easy to use, it has multiple markings that are clearly labeled for different sizes along with sizes of squares needed on the ruler itself. The rough gripping side really helps hold it in place when cutting the fabric.I was having trouble making them with my traditional rulers and decided I needed help for the Quilt of Valor I was starting on. Then I went on vacation and couldn’t find it when I returned so I made some the frustrating way. Fortunately found it again so much happier and appreciative.

I love the look of flying geese, but this is one block where tools are useful. This is a nice one to trim the blocks to size easily and perfectly.
