Love these crayons. They glide on gel-like and look beautiful on colored construction paper. Colors range from pastels to brights, no blacks or dark neutrals.

Idéal sur papier kraft. Belles couleurs. Qualité exceptionnelle pour des crayons cire.Seule déception, pas de véritable rouge, mais plutôt un rouge-orange-rosé.Aucun noir non plus, seulement un gris assez foncé.

They were great colors but 400 crayons for $45 is alot when you use them for a business .As well the first time I received them all the right colors were in it and a week later i had to order another box and it was missing one of the colors. It gave me db of orange instead.

Although two of the crayons arrived broken (probably occurred during shipping) — I love these crayons! It’s not worth the hassle of returning for two of them. I have used them in the past in the classroom for directed drawings and they look amazing on any color paper!

Okay, they look a little odd because the colors appear somewhat milky in their wrappers. It is when you use them on mid-tone to dark paper that you see their brilliance. The crayon has an opaque base (probably what makes it appear milky) that allows the colors to show very well on darker papers. The colors are similar to oil pastels but the Construction Paper Crayons do not smudge easily.

This is a huge box of high quality crayons. My kids go through them pretty quickly, and I also tend to lose many to my dogs, who eat them whenever they get the chance. This way of buying them is more cost effective. Additionally, this particular type of Crayola crayon doesn't seem readily available where I live.

I head up a large elementary art program for 27 schools. We've used these crayons in several art projects. Don't be confused by the "construction paper" part of the name. What it means is the colors lay down nicely on all colors of construction paper, especially dark. Traditional crayons are a bit too transparent on colored construction paper.

I have not come across a better crayon for construction paper in 28 years of teaching preschool. The colors are lovely and show up on any color of construction paper. They aren't any more or less durable than your average Crayola crayon but the colors are intense and stand out on my students' artwork. This crayon is a must for any early childhood classroom as well as at home, if you can find them in smaller packs.

Finally, a great crayon for the paper we use.My partner teacher brought these to my attention when "mysteriously" a pack turned up in her classroom. What a find! So we both are working right now on small bookmaking on black paper we got at the dollar store anyway, and these color in fantastically. This is keeping kids actively engaged.First of all Crayolas are the best but NOT supplied to me or my students, so every year I go buy 16 or 24 color packs for my 1st graders. I have bought 100 color packs, but not the last two years. The cost is more than I can justify. It so helps within our work to use these to illustrate ideas, highlight words, fill in data tables...it goes on and on. But it is true that on construction they aren't hardy enough on richly colored paper to show well. (So then I purchased high end Pentel pencils.) And that's a dilemma because it's all the paper we have and I know they'll soon eliminate that. What a great thing to find that we can get a couple boxes of these to add into our rooms. This year both of us are enriching the rooms with things like gel pens and supplies that make doing your work more of a pleasure. We've both decided this is necessary. Plus of course teaching art as a part of the disciplines. My package just arrived and in November I'll re-order. It is a study box and the color range is lovely-so that it will engage my class in the "pattern books" Every month my kids make 6 to 8 page pattern books to illustrate and name patterns. One reason is that abstraction is important, a tree becomes named with a symbol and eventually named also as "A" as they'll find in math later on....I like to make the books with colored paper. These work great for drawing the frog, dragonfly, frog, dragonfly and so on.So...If your sister teaches, your niece, someone you talk to on this site, a favorite person you know, someone you met at the coffeehouse or just it happens you have children in school or want to send a remembrance to a teacher your child had this is a pretty great gift.If you send it in with your child the year will undoubtedly be a better one. The quality is great and I think what they did was add a bit of white into the pigment to make it a better choice for the darker colors of construction that we so often work on.They feel like all crayolas, full of wonder.
