  • Solid steel push pin
  • Finely tapered forked end
  • Applies equal pressure on both sides as pin is lifted

Both tools have a solid steel push pin mounted on one end for pushing out the door pin. The opposite forked end fits snugly under the head of the door pin, applying equal pressure on both sides as the pin is lifted out. The forked end is finely tapered for easy insertion. The No. 363 also features a capture spring which prevents the greasy pin from falling on the carpet.

This tool makes removing hinge pins easy for removing a door or lubricating hinges. This is a tool that will stay in my toolbox for the rest of my life and after that , another lucky person will get to use it, and on and on. It is built strong and is unlikely to wear out or break.

Works great, but has some simple things that they could have done to make it perfect.1) They could have placed a plastic end cap to keep the metal from possibly rubbing against your door or casing.2) they could have made that end cap also extend down about 3 inches or so and be shaped like a scoop to channel the hammer strike into the door pin tool. If the pin on your door is loose you can hit the door pin tool in the middle of the arm, away from your door. However, if you door pin is stuck, probably one of the most likely reasons you are buying the tool, you will not budge it unless you hit the door pin tool directly below the pin and against your door. I used a medium thickness piece of cardboard to protect my door from my bad aim.3) The door pin extractor arm is way to strong and therefor impossible to slide the pin head easily into. You might as well remove screw/metal or at least loosen it up all the way otherwise trying to put it onto the pin will result in the door pin tool sliding around the pin and damaging the door again as you try to push it on. The metal should be 1/8" higher providing a more generous gap for pin heads.Still a great product but you should modify it a little like I did to truly protect your doors.

I've never been a fan of collecting single use tools, but make an exception for this. This door pin tool is a life saver. Makes pulling pins a snap and you completely avoid scraping the trim when used properly. It's hefty and solid.

I was taught to use a metal or wood chisel to to get under the head of the pin the drive it up , after buying this I will never do that again , this is much easier and faster with out risking damage to the door or wall ,
