Fine for what I needed them for but they are not sturdy, some have holes through them and they are very "slivery". The worse part is that the package states that there should be 100 craft sticks and I ended up with 92. I shall now be painting 8 brown sticks yellow for my craft needs.

After watching a tutorial on how to make my own yellow sticky paper, I purchased these with the "Tanglefoot 300000684 Tree Tanglefoot - 15 oz Tub." The brightly colored sticks did a great job in attracting the fungus flies that were causing problems for my indoor plants, and the fruit flies that were taking over my kitchen! Perfect if you want to keep your home pesticide free but don't want all the mess of the paper. A light glaze on the sticks (also cuter than the paper!) was enough for the fungus flies, but the fruit flies are stronger, so a little more product on those. Also, the wood absorbed some of the sticky gel, so a little more was needed. For fruit flies just be generous in application - it does not run so gooping it on is ok. I've had these out for a week.The fungus flies began getting trapped on day one. It took a few days for the fruit flies, but I think that is because they were able to free themselves when it was just a thin glaze. Now that I have applied it more heavily there are only a few left, but they will also soon be gone. Again, these sticks are great if you don't want the hassle of the paper or just don't like the look of it inside your home. Just put the gel on the top 1/3 of the stick and insert the other end into the dirt. Works great.
