COTTON FABRIC

High-Quality Cotton Materials

Our cotton fabric is made from 100% premium cotton, a soft and fluffy staple fiber. It absorbs water very well, and dries quickly, which gives it good moisture absorption. The strong cellular structure of the cotton plant creates a fabric that is tough, abrasion and tear resistant.

I was very happy with the fabric until I rinsed my cutting chalk marks out before sewing. It seems to fray a lot.

It's pretty thin, but that's to be expected. If you want a fabric that you can make a garment out of on its own, I'd say to look elsewhere. However, I'm using it as lining for a utility vest, and it works great for that. It shrank somewhat in prewashing in a top-load washing machine, but I forgot to measure how much it shrank. It's 100% cotton though so you should expect some of that.I got the "Ocean Mist" color and it's a lovely bright sky blue. It holds up okay to sewing; the smallish universal needle I'm using leaves some holes, but that's on me for using that needle I think. The fabric stays together well and doesn't shred when it's cut. It DID shred while prewashing (again, top-loading machine with an agitator) but hey, that's why we baste the selvage, no?TL;DR I recommend it for lining a utility vest. I wouldn't make a garment entirely out of it. But it's not really marketed as garment fabric, anyways.
