If you are looking for a fool proof way to make multiple tiny flying geese, this is the tool to use. No more guessing what size to cut the fabric or using math formulas. I was struggling to make 1 1/2 inch flying geese for a project and my fingers were not liking working with such a small unit, especially making them one by one. The Flying Geese Ruler allowed my to make 4 at a time and to trim them up so that I had an accurate 1/4 inch seam to sew in making my blocks. This method by Eleanor Burns is much easier to sew than any other method I have used before.The package includes two rulers and fabric cutting charts. You can purchase this tool in a bigger size too. I did not find the rulers slipping when using hem but I would use Invisigrip instead of dots in order to avoid any distortion for accurate cutting. I did buy the bigger ruler to make 2X4 and 4X8 inch flying geese.

This ruler is fantastic! It made such easy work for creating flying geese in a precise way that was easy to understand. This was part of a course that I took with Melanie Ham and I am including the quilt that I made using it here.I did purchase some grip dots to adhere to this to help avoid slipping when squaring up. You wouldn't need to but I don't want my rulers to move when I'm squaring. Loved this so much I bought the smaller versions too. Thanks Eleanor!

This is a very useful tool if you want to make flying geese. It is good quality, and it is a signature Eleanor Burns product. It arrived promptly and in good condition.

This product works OK, however, I found another product that works much better. The Bloc Loc tools minimizes slippage, holds the block in place better and results in a more precise cut. Quilt in a day gets the job done and does have the advantage of more than one block per ruler so cost is less.

Works quite well. At first the directions had me a little confused as they didn't specify that you must also cut the top edge off the second part but figured it out. Could use a little more fabric for the seam at the points.

This ruler has really made making the flying geese blocks so easy. Having watched Eleanor Burns demonstrating the ruler in a quilting video,thought it would help in making my blocks. Really glad I purchased it and having a good time making blocks with it at present. Very prompt delivery. I would very much recommend it.

I received the template and found it not an easy one to understand. I have found others disscribing the same type of ruler and found them easier to understand.
