About thickness of the pad, different customers have different requirement. Most people said they are just right, the minority thought a little thin. Biloban produce cradle mattress pad with reasonable amount of filling according to researches. For safety reasons, we don't use very much padding. Thinner padding will eliminate the risk of suffocation and unhealthy spine development.
Size Issue
When receiving this cradle pad, you might find it slightly larger than your cradle mattress. That's ok, because the fabric will shrink a little bit after wash. Thanks to its fitted skirt design, Biloban cradle mattress cover will fit for any standard cradle mattress size around 36'' x 18''.

These are a perfect fit for mini cribs and pack and plays. They are soft and add some nice padding. They wash well and are still in great condition after five years of use. Mine have been used by two chihuahuas daily and they do a lot of digging into them each night as they make their bed. There is another waterproof changing mat and a fitted sheet over it though. However, when they have spilled their water bowl, it has sometimes leaked through the first changing mat, but never through this mattress protector.
