Followed directions gave pizza stone to daughter for Christmas and made a beautiful breakfast pizza for New years. It look wonderful but the crust was cemented onto the stone and all we could eat was the toppings. Her pizza stone was unusable I felt terrible.

The Culinary Couture 15" Round Pizza Stone for Oven Set was a Christmas gift, and I’m still getting compliments on it! This set has everything you need for fantastic homemade pizza nights or even just throwing a frozen pizza in the oven. The pizza slicer is exceptional—far better than any rolling slicer I’ve ever used. It cuts cleanly and easily without dragging the toppings around. The wooden pizza peel is a thoughtful addition, making it simple to transfer pizzas in and out of the oven while keeping your hands safe from burns. The pizza stone itself works wonderfully, delivering perfectly crispy crusts every time. If you love making pizza at home or know someone who does, I highly recommend this set. It’s a great buy!

I struggled with my new oven for a while getting it to not burn everything it touched. Thanks to this stone, the heat displacement is so much better and my dishes are turning out wonderfully now. Great for pizzas, but also general heat control in ovens, it may be just the tool needed to avoid unwanted burning.

Ordered this as a second pizza stone when making several pizzas at once. Compared to my older stone of the same diameter, this one is lighter (4.2 pounds vs 4.9 pounds). The new stone thickness is 3.8 inch (1 cm), not 1/2 inch as indicated in the item details. The online stated weight of 5 pounds is also incorrect. The downside is that with less mass, the stone does not have much thermal capacity, so if you take the stone out of the oven to place the dough or add ingredients, it will loose its temperature fairly quickly resulting in less browning of the crust, particularly on the bottom of the pizza. In hindsight, I would have chosen a heavier stone. At a minimum, the ad copy should reflect that true thickness and weight of the product.

This is great and very heavy for a pizza stone (most are really thin). I have yet to actually use it to cook a pizza however am very impressed with the thickness although a little concerned about the weight being too much on a standard oven grate over time. Would still recommend.UPDATE: So after using it a few times here are my thoughts. It's definitely heavy enough to be cautious about just leaving it in your oven all of the time - I think it's going to bend the standard grates in a regular oven so shouldn't be left in there for storage. When using it would be helpful to add something underneath to prevent sticking (some kind of grain or whatnot) because your typical frozen pizza may stick. It's true to also follow the instructions and let the stone heat with the oven and then wait for it to get hot before putting the pizza in - that helps keep things from sticking as well. Something I figured out is it takes longer to cook a pizza on the stone than not on it - for example if a frozen (doctored) pizza says 20 minutes and you like your pizza somewhat crispier like me then add at least 10 minutes (or at minimum 5 so it's completely cooked but still soft and chewy). But I do think it's a very high quality stone that will last a long time and that it really was worth buying (keep the pizza from sagging) so would definitely recommend this product.

Stone works as intended but needs time to reheat between cooking multiple pizzas. I work at a pizza restaurant and we set our ovens to 550 to cook. each oven has two stones much larger than these and they retain heat well enough to cook multiple pies back to back, so I went into it hoping to maybe be able to do that as long as I kept my oven hot (preheated to 550). First pie came out fine but second pie didn't cook through properly on the bottom and tore, staining the stone. I allowed it to reheat to temperature and with some time to cook out it still performs just fine. Use an IR thermometer to check the temperature of your stone before putting anything on it (buy one rated to 600c, should be $20-30 prime shipped), and if you need to be able to cook multiple pies fast without waiting 15-20 minutes for the stone to reheat between pies I highly recommend you buy 2 stones. You will still need to let them reheat between use but it'll save you a ton of time if you're cooking for multiple people. If you intend to broil your pizzas, swap the one on the top to the bottom and vice versa when you rotate them. I highly recommend having a metal paddle for this step as it will allow you to easily rotate the pizza when cooking single pies, and when swapping two pies at once it will save a lot of time. Use a second metal paddle or a pizza pan when transferring, you don't want to get moisture or oils from the pizza that might have run off or seeped through the crust onto your wood paddle as they'll absorb in much worse than they would on the pizza stone.
