Awesome plug, casts a mile, good size and great action. Weight is absolutely perfect and always you to hit all areas of the water column. Highly recommended, have 2 more of their colors and will be purchasing other colors very soon.

I generally like Cotton Cordell lures. I own a few of the smaller 1 oz. poppers and like the way they fish.I recently purchased the 2 oz. red/white popper shown in the photo to give me some extra casting distance when surf casting into stronger winds. I put the lure on a scale after changing the hooks to a heavier gage to see what impact the new hooks might have had. That is when I noticed the lure only weighed 1.6 oz. I initially thought maybe mine was under-weighted due to a manufacturing anomaly.Then I checked the reviews and noticed two other reviewers reporting the weight of their 2 oz. lures at 1.6 oz. There is no good reason I can think of as to why this should be happening.Disappointed in the misrepresentation.

Tear the blues, trout, Red drum, and Striper slam up with these bad boys. Lost one today so decided to order 2 more. Definitely a must have in the tackle bag

Great popper to use. Casts very well and far with the right set up. I pair this up with a 10 Foot Medium Tsunami Rod + 30lb braid + Penn 4000 Reel. I like keeping my set up relatively light and this lure works perfect for it. I would suggest attaching a swivel to your line since to reduce line twists as you’re popping this lure.

A value plug that can be fished like a splash popper or side to side like a spook. I did not expect the walk the dog side to side action like a spook but it works well. Alot of hits using walk the dog method. Hooks not as high quality as other brands but you can replace the split rings and upgrade the hooks after they rust. I mainly target blues with this lure and if a striper takes it even more benefit. Every angler should have this plug in their bag. I use other more expensive plugs and this plug casts just as well, only just the hook/split ring quality difference. If you lose it, not as painful like a $25 lure...this one works don't pass it by because its a legacy value brand.

Love it, great for stripers and blues. They are plastic so they get a little dinged up and don't carry as far as denser poppers, but for the value hard to beat. I love using it with bluefish because if/ when they eventually cut your line, it's not a big money loss, but the fish still love them.
