My son wants to be Wonka for Halloween and this is the perfect cane for him. We got another one for him but it was plastic and has already started to bend, this is why we looked for something better; this totally fits the bill.Pros-- The price point is great. Very reasonable cost.- The cane is very sturdy. The metal is thin and hollow so it's light but also much stronger and sturdier than a plastic cane.- My son really likes the antiqued gold look of the top of the cane. This part is plastic, but it's quality.- I love that it can be adjustable. From kid height to grownup height, it can be used for multiple occasions. In the picture with my son it is 2 out of the 3 poles and is the perfect height for my 10 year old.

Yeah, I know this is a costume prop, I didn't expect heirloom quality. It's advertised as metal though, and the head looked pretty cool, so I'd figured that, worst case, I could simply replace the can with a wooden stick and have something at least slightly decent.Wrongo! The head, the only interesting part, is just a piece of cheap plastic. The can itself is what's metal - short pieces of super-thin metal pipe that obviously, but weakly, screw together. If you look in the photos, you can see those - I thought they were ridges for design appearance, but now, they're the screw threads. It neither looks like a proper cane, nor holds together at all well. Don't waste your money.

My son was a plague doctor so this came was a perfect accessory for his costume. It fits together in 3 pieces. I personally think it was sturdy but it probably wouldn't be able to hold much weight if someone was leaning on it.
