I installed this around our paddleboard and picked it up...the retainer washer/clip immediately came off and the board fell down. I was able to find the parts and re-install them. It works as expected now. Check your fittings before your first use. Our paddleboard is a blow up so no damage occurred when it fell, but I can see solid boards getting dented or damaged if you're not careful.
