Unit works but is very slow to respond, its twice as slow as the original unit thats 42 years old and still working! I did check it for leaks before I installed it and there were none so not sure why its so slow to work! Bought for a 1970 vette headlight valve!

It works. I bought 2 and both had manufacturing differences but worked OK.These are NOT for your high dollar restoration Vettes. I'm working on a '77 Vette worth about$5000.00....bottom line is you get what you pay for and they worked for me. The price fit the project here.

After reading all the reviews, it was clear that this was likely not going to work. When it came, both the ports held vacuum and the diaphragm worked and pulled the piston up and down. However, the part didn't work when everything was connected. After a lot of testing, I figured out that the piston didn't seal along the entire length of travel, causing air to leak in through the yellow port, and into the upper diaphragm, making it impossible to switch the headlights down.Unfortunately, it appears that only one person/company makes these parts and you can buy them cheapest here. What I did was I took the piston out of this relay and put it in my old relay. It now works perfectly, but I spent 30 bucks and many hours of testing, only to rebuild my old relay.

Almost didn't order this item because there were as many 1 stars as 5 stars after receiving them I see why one worked great and one barely works resulting in the headlights opening and closing at different times I look for failure of the bad one anytime this truly is frustrating.
