This bit is HUGE! I've seen plently of rubber bits, but I have never seen one with such a large mouthpiece. My horse did not want to accept it and was clearly uncomfortable with it once it was in her mouth. It was way to large to properly fit my horse's mouth.

My mare loves this bit. She chewed through my last rubber bit in a couple months. I have been using this bit for about a month and there isn't any chew marks.The only thing about it that should be noted is the mouthpiece does have a curve to it. If your looking for a straight bar I wouldn't reccomended this one.

Great But! Solusd metal core with perfect soft/durable coating. My horse was chewing threw his fully rubber loose ring mullen, sobi switched to this and he still enjoys it without inflicting the level of damage to the rubber that he did on the fully rubber Mullen without the metal core like this one.

This is much easier on my little mares soft bit than your standard bit. I also notice less slobber, so it must fit more comfortably in her mouth. Easy to connect to a headstall with the wide rings. The rubber over the bit is very durable and can even withstand a little chewing (she has tested it in that area).

Don't get this bit. It is incredibly headed i won't even put it in my horses mouth. It smells like a tire and was hoping it would have been flexible. way too solid and might as well have been a solid piece of metal.

I ordered this for my son's hard-mouthed horse. Before I rescued Donk from slaughter, he had been used and abused as a cutting horse by a man who had no idea how to handle horses properly, let alone teach them anything but bad habits. He used all "force" techniques instead of trust and calm and "asking" the horse to do what he wanted him to do. As a result, Donk became the hardest mouthed horse I've ever had to re-train. He completely ignored the bit and rein cues and would try to go the direction HE wanted to go. Needless to say, he and I went around and around on the trails. I always made sure I won each small battle, but it made for a very tiring, un-fun ride. He's gotten better the past few years and tries bolting and bucking and spinning less and less now, but would still continually step out of the bit and pull his shenannagins until he realized his rider (my son or my daughter-in-law) was more stubborn and determined than he. BUT...with this rubber coated, non-pinchy, non-painful bit, he has settled down into a COMPLETELY different horse! I can't say it will work for everyone like it has for Donk, but with the incredibly cheap price of this bit, it can't hurt to try it! Good luck!!

Bit is extremely thick. My mare will accept it for short periods, but gets uncomfortable quickly.
